MLB scores, Micky Loomis investigation, Derek Fisher & Deion Sanders:4/25, Vol. 128, 2nd Edition

For waking me up this morning, that's why I praise You, for starting me on my way, that's why I praise You, for letting me see the sunshine, that's why I praise You, of a brand new day. A brand new mercy, along with each new day, that's why I praise You and for this, I give You praise! Welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!

For the second series of scores in Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees were SHUT OUT by the Texas Rangers 2-0 as Japanese sensation Yu Darvish went a little more than 8 innings striking out 10 Yankees to get third win of the season, the Houston Astros knocked off by the Milwaukee Brewers 9-6 as the Brewers scored 5 runs in the 6th inning, the Boston Red Sox dominated the Minnesota Twins 11-2 as David “Big Papi” Ortiz homered in the 3rd inning, the Philadelphia Phillies pasted the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-5 as Lance Nix launched a homerun, while the Chicago White Sox were SHUT OUT by the Oakland A’s 2-0 as Tommy Milone pitched 8 strong innings, the Washington Nationals out swung the San Diego Padres 3-1 with 2 RBI’s from Chad Tracy and the Atlanta Braves got past the LA Dodgers 4-3 with a triple from Martin Pradon the 9th inning to seal the deal.

In sporting news, a joint task force, which includes Louisiana state police and the FBI, has officially launched an investigation into whether any laws were broken concerning allegations that New Orleans Saints General Manager Micky Loomis eavesdropping on the opposing coaches at the Superdome.  The Saints organization have denied the allegations and the investigation was initiated after the story broke on ESPN’s Outside The Lines.

Things are going south in a hurry between current player’s union president Derek Fisher and executive director Billy Hunter as the story surfaced yesterday that Hunters’ family, his daughter, daughter-in-law and his son, all have received payments for work done through the union with their respective firms.  Now, it doesn’t appear anything illegal was done, but it allows Fisher to call into question the financial affairs of the union amongst others issues.  Washington Wizards Maurice Evans stated Hunter answered any questions presented to him, but the they were disappointed because Fisher hasn’t addressed them.  In addition, the union sent a memo that painted Fisher as rogue leader who was delinquent in his duties since the end of the lockout.  It appears the battle lines have been drawn.

For your quick news and notes for the 2nd segment, the New England Patriots officially placed veteran offensive lineman Matt Light on the reserve/retired list Tuesday, according to a source, Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Chris Narveson will have surgery on the torn rotator cuff in his throwing shoulder and miss the rest of the season, he said Tuesday and finally, as reported in the 3rd segment of your spiritual sports, in addition to Deion Sanders’s estranged wife Pilar  being arrested,  Sanders himself was also cited for a misdemeanor charge of simple assault , but did not warrant an arrest.
