NHL Playoffs & NBA scores & NBA Eastern Conference current seedings: 4/17, Vol. 122, 1st Edition

Some people like to worry, some people like hide, some people like to run away from the pain inside, but God said weeping may endureth for a night, but joy cometh in the morning, so just hold on! Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio better than when you heard it yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Here We Go!

There were a couple of game three playoff games in the National Hockey League last night for the Eastern Conference and one game three in the Western Conference starting with the New York Rangers getting the SHUT OUT against the Ottawa Senators 1-0 with the lone goal scored by Brian Boyle as the Rangers take a 2-1 series lead, the defending champion Boston Bruins eked out a one goal win 4-3 over the Washington Capitals to take a 2-1 series lead as four different players scored the four goals for the Eastern Conference games and for the Western Conference, the St. Louis Blues got past the San Jose Sharks 4-3 as Carlo Colaicovo had three assists as the Blues take a 2-1 series lead.

The National Basketball Association had a plethora of games on tap last night as the Miami Heat stormed back against the New Jersey Nets to secure the win 101-98 as LeBron James lite up the scoreboard with 37 points, I haven’t used this word in a while as the Chicago Bulls was UPSET by the lowly Washington Wizards 87-84 with a double-double from Kevin Seraphin with 21 points and 13 boards, the Denver Nuggets got a huge win over the Houston Rockets 105-102 with the help of 26 points from Aaron Afflalo, the defending champion Dallas Mavericks lost in not one, not two but three overtimes to the Utah Jazz with 28 points from Al Jefferson and 26 monster rebounds, the Portland Trailblazers were manhandled by the Phoenix Suns 125-107 with 20 points and 10 rebounds from Marcin Gortat, while the San Antonio Spurs devastated the Golden State Warriors 120-99 with 17 points from Gary Neal, the Oklahoma City Thunder were dominated by the Lob City Clippers 92-77 with 19 points from Nick Young, the Minnesota Timberwolves were pummeled by the Indiana Pacers 111-88 as David West netted 22 points, the Orlando Magic had no problems without Dwight Howard last night as they beat the Philadelphia 76er’s 113-110 as Ryan Anderson said Dwight I got your back scored a game high of 26 points and a game high of 16 big boy rebounds, the Atlanta Hawks simply befuddled the Toronto Raptors 109-87 as Josh ‘Smooth’ Smith scored 21 points and the New Orleans Hornets gave the Charlotte Bobcats their 53rd loss of the season and a franchise record of 17 loses in a row as they lost 75-67 to the Hornets with 20 points from Grevis Vasquez….man look ah hear, those boy may need some couch therapy!

Nonetheless comma I digress, here are your current NBA playoff standings, starting with the Eastern Conference as the Chicago Bulls hold the top seed, while the Miami Heat is 2 ½ games back with the 2nd seed, the Indiana Pacers has the 3rd seed, the Boston Celtics is currently sitting on the 4th seed, but the Atlanta Hawks have the same record at the 5th seed, while the Orlando Magic comes in at the 6th seed, as all the aforementioned teams have a clinched a playoff  berth and the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76er’s will fight for the 7th and 8th seeds, with the Milwaukee Bucks having an outside chance in sneaking into the playoff race.  Keep it locked to listen to the current seeding’s in the Western Conference in the second segment.
