NBA Playoffs, AL-MLB Scores,Chris Andersen & Miami Heat News: 5/11, Vol. 140, 1st Edition

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint! Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio better than when you heard yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Le’ Go!

Chris Andersen
The National Basketball Association had three close-out games last night in the playoffs as the Chicago Bulls tried to even the series and avoid going home against the Philadelphia 76er’s and Da’ Bulls was hanging tough even without Joakim Noah and with 7 tenths of a second left in the game and the Bulls leading 78-77, Omer Asik missed both free throws and Andre Igoudala grabbed the rebound and was fouled and calmly sunk his free throws to seal the deal 79-78 as Igoudala had a game high of 20 points and the 76er’s win their first playoff series since 2003 and the Atlanta Hawks tried to soar like eagles over the Boston Celtics and was giving the C’s all they could handle but Kevin Garnett aka The Big Ticket reached back in time and dominated with 28 points and hauled 14 big boy rebounds as they Celtics edged the Hawks 83-80 and the Celtics and the 76er’s will do battle in the Eastern Conference Semi-final starting on Saturday and with a sick, tired and weak Kobe Bryant, the LA Lakers were pounded by the Denver Nuggets 113-96 as Ty Lawson lite up the scoreboard for 32 points to force a game 7 back in LA.

The National Hockey League had the night off and will continue their playoff game on Saturday for game 7 as the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers try to force their will upon each other.

There were six games on the diamond yesterday in the American League for baseball as the Texas Rangers lost by one measly run to the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 in the first game as the Rangers Colby Lewis struck out 12 batters however comma he gave up 5 homeruns, the Tampa Bay Rays was defeated by the New York Yankees 5-3 with homeruns from Curtis Granderson and Robinson Cano, the Texas Rangers battled the Baltimore Orioles in the double header and this time came out on top 7-3 as Josh Hamilton went yard, the Cleveland Indians crushed the Boston Red Sox 8-3 with a homerun from  Jack Hannahan, while the Toronto Blue Jays blasted the Minnesota Twins 6-2 as pitcher Henderson Alavarez was solid through 7 innings and the Detroit Tigers demolished the Oakland A’s 10-6 as Andy Dirks went yard.

In sporting news, Chris ‘Birdman’ Andersen was excused indefinitely from the Denver Nuggets after his home was searched by sheriff’s deputies as they investigate a case by the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit.  There was not a warrant issued for Andersen’s arrest after items were removed from the property and he has cooperated with authorities whom have investigated Andersen since February.  The investigation was initiated after local authorities received information from law enforcement in California.  I will keep you posted on this developing story.

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, as announced on my Twitter page last night, James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder was awarded the NBA’s 6th Man of the Year after receiving 115 out of a possible 119 votes, the Miami Heat issued a statement Thursday apologizing to the New York Knicks and Amare Stoudemire for Miami's arena announcer mocking the forward when he fouled of Wednesday's playoff game by saying he had been “extinguished from the game”, New York Knicks coach Mike Woodson said restricted free agent Jeremy Lin will "absolutely" be back next season with the team and finally, Columbus, OH mayor Michael Coleman has sent an overture letter to NBA commissioner David Stern that Ohio's capital city would love to have an expansion or relocated team play in its downtown arena along with the NHL's Blue Jackets.
