More drama from
Dennis Rodman
The second game in the Western Conference Finals in the National Basketball Association tipped off last night as the San Antonio Spurs duked it out against the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Spurs were putting on a clinic as was demolishing the Thunder, but the Thunder applied the hack-a-Splitter and climbed back into the game and was only down by 6 points with 5:24 left in the game, but the Spurs unleashed the nasty and cruised to secure the victory 120-111 as the Frenchman Tony Parker had a game high of 34 points and Manu Ginobili chipped in 20 to help the Spurs go to Oklahoma leading the series 2-0 and winning their 20th game in a row.

There was only one game on the hard-court for Queens of B-Ball as the Tulsa Shock lost by one measly point against the LA Sparks 76-75 as Candace Parker had a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

Major League Baseball had plenty of action last night in the American League as the Detroit Tigers couldn’t get past the Boston Red Sox and lost 6-3 as the Red Sox move above .500 with the help of David Ortiz’s 11th homer, the Kansas City Royals blasted the Cleveland Indians 8-2 as Will Smith notches his 1st MLB win, the Baltimore Orioles put up 6 runs, but the Toronto Blue Jays put up 2 more and won the game 8-6 as Adam Jones belted 2 homeruns to give him 16 for the year, the Chicago White Sox walloped the Tampa Bay Rays 7-2 with a homer from Dayan Viciedo, while the Seattle Mariners manhandled the Texas Rangers 10-3 despite the 21st homer of the season from Josh Hamilton, the Oakland A’s was knocked off by the Minnesota Twins 3-2 as Josh Willingham launched a 3 run homer in the 9th inning and the New York Yankees were crushed by the LA Angels 5-1 with Albert Pujos’ 8th homer of the season.

For your NBA & Basketball Quick Dribbles, Matt Daniel has been named Marshall's women's basketball coach, Vinny Del Negro will be back as coach of the Los Angeles Clippers after guiding them to the highest winning percentage in franchise history during the lockout-shortened season, the Portland Trail Blazers have settled on three finalists in their general manager search and hope to make a decision soon as the candidates are believed to be former New Orleans Hornets general manager Jeff Bower, Indiana Pacers general manager David Morway and Los Angeles Clippers general manager Neil Olshey, the NBA draft lottery is tonight and the Charlotte Bobcats have a 25% chance to land the #1 pick, but the team with the worst record hasn't won the lottery since 2004, the LA Lakers are in discussions to promote Glenn Carraro from general manager of the Los Angeles D-Fenders, the Lakers' D-League affiliate, to assistant general manager for the Lakers, according to multiple sources and finally, former NBA star Dennis Rodman was sentenced Tuesday to 104 hours of community service after being found guilty last year of four counts of contempt for failing to pay child support…one word stated three times…..sad, sad, sad.
