Alistair Overeem, who is currently ranked the #3 heavyweight in the world in Mixed Martial Arts, may not fight on UFC’s annual year-end card scheduled for December 29.  Alistair, who is currently serving a nine-month suspension for his admission of injecting a substance that he was unaware contained testosterone, must re-apply with the Nevada State Athletic Commission when he is eligible on December 27 and be granted his license prior to UFC promoting him.  According to UFC co-owner, Lorenzo Fertitta, they are reluctant in promoting an Overeem fight since there are not guarantees he will be granted his license.
