College World Series & AL MLB Scores, Olympic & NBA News w/ Jared Sullinger: 6/26, Vol. 172, 1st Edt'n

What do you do, when you've done all you can and it seems like it's never enough? And what do you say when your friends turn away and you're all alone? Tell me, what you give when you've given your all and seems like you can't make it through?  You just stand and be sure!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio better than when you it yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s Get It Started!

Arizona Wildcats win their
4th College World Series
The South Carolina Gamecocks had their run as consecutive College World Series champions come to an end as they were blasted by the Arizona Wildcats 4-1 as Trent Gilbert drove in 3 RBI’s and assisted Arizona with their fourth national championship.

Major League Baseball has ended their world wind of Interleague games in the American & National League stadiums and is back to their regular scheduled program.  I sound like the news guy.  However comma I digress as there were six games in the American League swinging their bats as the New York Yankees clobbered the Cleveland Indians 7-1 as Dewayne Wise got his 1st homer, Nick Swisher got his 12th homer and Robinson Cano topped of the Yankees long balls with his 17th homer of the season, the Toronto Blue Jays muscled past the Boston Red Sox 9-6 as Jose Bautista belted his 24th homer, the Detroit Tigers hammered the Texas Rangers 8-2 Miguel Cabrera doubles twice and drove in 3 RBI’s, while the Tampa Bay Rays were SHUT OUT and literally spanked by the Kansas City Royals 8-0 as Luke Hochevar struck out 8 batters, the Chicago White Sox was defeated by the Minnesota Twins 4-1 and the Oakland A’s SHUT OUT the Seattle Mariners 1-0 as Seth Smith drove in the lone run.

For your London Summer Olympic News, Alysia Montano won the 800 meters in 1 minute, 59.08 seconds at the U.S. track trials to make the Olympic team, Jesse Williams, the reigning world champion in the high jump, finished fourth at the U.S. track trials but still made the Olympic team for London, a month before the London Games, Saudi Arabia appears to be moving closer to sending female athletes to the Olympics for the first time amid mounting pressure on the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom to grant women more rights, and finally, NBA star Tony Parker may miss the London Olympics after almost losing his eye in a fight involving singer Chris Brown and members of hip-hop star Drake's entourage. Hmm, it’s all fun and games until someone gets poked in the eye. Huh!?

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, the Miami Heat celebrated their recent NBA championship in grand fashion with a parade fit for champions yesterday, former Ohio State star and two-time all-American Jared Sullinger will watch the NBA draft inside a Columbus restaurant, not in the green room in Newark's Prudential Center, after the NBA declined to invite him to Thursday's draft since the league have received reports that he will not be selected in the top 15 picks, New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire has apologized to a fan for using a gay slur in response to a crude tweet in which the fan admonished the All-Star to make up for this past season, the Portland Trail Blazers have formally extended a qualifying offer to forward Nicolas Batum, the Sacramento Kings have extended a qualifying offer to Jason Thompson to make the forward a restricted free agent, Orlando Magic general manager Rob Hennigan made his first hire Monday, bringing Scott Perry to Orlando from the Detroit Pistons, according to league sources, the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics will play exhibition games next season in Europe, including a homecoming in Germany for Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki, and finally, new Charlotte coach Mike Dunlap says the idea of trading down from the # 2 spot in the NBA draft to acquire extra picks "makes a lot of sense" for a young team like the Bobcats…sound like they did in fact make a good hire….we will see.
