Andrew Luck's first day
Colts minicamp

In sporting news, is his career coming to an end?  Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather current jail stint in solitary confinement is affecting his physical fitness and his lawyers are arguing that the undefeated champion is getting out of shape and could end his stellar career.  Since May weather has a celebrity status, he has been kept away from the general population of the jail and Mayweather’s attorney, Richard Wright, said he would be willing to have the boxing star his sentence at an apartment or somewhere less luxurious than his lavish Las Vegas home.  Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragossa indicated she will make a ruling later this week.

For your London Summer Olympic News, Norwegian swimming champion Alexander Dale One, who collapsed at a training camp in Arizona in April, died of heart disease, according to a medical examiner's statement released Tuesday, Athletics Kenya says an injury has forced Moses MO sop to withdraw from Kenya's Olympic marathon team, and finally, Germany's national anti-doping agency has cleared speed skater Judith Hessen of blame after ultraviolet light was used to enhance the oxygen flow in her blood.

For your NFL Quick Hits, one day after the Jacksonville Jaguars took a strong stance on Maurice Jones-Drew's contract situation, the star running back made his feelings equally clear by skipping opening day of mandatory minicamp, after a 5½-week absence from the Indianapolis Colts' offseason workouts, Andrew Luck, the #1 overall draft pick showed up at Colt’s training camp a red #12 jersey and started showing everyone what he'd learned while attending his final classes at Stanford, Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed skipped the first day of the Baltimore Ravens' mandatory minicamp, and the team is unsure what prompted Reed's unexcused absence, the New York Jets wide receiver Antonio Holmes began minicamp Tuesday in the same place he ended practice last week, on the sideline, with a tight hamstring,  Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones still has a soft spot in his heart for Terrell Owens, but not a spot on his team's roster, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs announced he has taken his biggest step in coming back from Achilles surgery by getting off his crutches, injured New York Giants tight end Jake Ballard was claimed by the New England Patriots on Tuesday, and finally, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs and one of Kent State’s most famous and proud alums, has chartered a bus for fans to take to Omaha as Kent State plays in the College World Series.
