Roger Goodell, NBA, NHL Playoffs & AL-MLB Scores & London Olympics: 6/5, Vol. 157, 1st Edition

I was down to my last time dime, but Jesus stepped in right on time; I sure been sick and I couldn't get well, when he healed my body and now I can tell…that it's alright now, I think I'll make it anyhow! Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio better than when you it yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Le’ Go!

After travelling to Oklahoma City for Games 3 & 4 and properly losing, the San Antonio Spurs were itching for some home-cooking last night as they hosted the Thunder in in a pivotal Game 5 in the Western Conference Finals.  And after the Spurs won 20 straight games, they have now lost three straight to the Thunderous Thunder including last night 108-103 as the Thunder take a commanding 3-2 series lead as Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combined for 50 points in the win despite Manu Ginobili’s 34 points.

The New Jersey Devils were also looking for some home-cooking after being in LA and losing Games 1 & 2 in the Stanley Cup Finals to the Kings, the Devils were looking to get their first win of the series in Game 3, but that didn’t happen and I don’t they truly showed up as they were SHUT OUT and demolished by the Kings 4-0 as the Kings take a commanding 3-0 series lead as four players scored a goal.

Major League Baseball had a lighter schedule last night with only 3 games in the American League starting with the Minnesota Twins hammering the Kansas City Royals 10-7 as 3 Twins launched 3 homeruns each, the Seattle Mariners outlasted the LA Angels 8-6 as Jason Vargas struck out 8 and the Texas Rangers were literally spanked by the Oakland A’s 12-1as Brian Inge launched homer and drove in 4 RBI’s.
For your London Summer Olympic News, Paul McCartney has confirmed an Olympic-sized rumor, saying he'll be the closing act at the London 2012 opening ceremony, Irish Republican Army supporters clashed with police Monday and forced Olympic torch organizers to divert the route of their relay, marring what had been a jubilant day's procession through a sun-soaked Northern Ireland, veteran rider Thor Hushovd will not compete in the Tour ride France this year because he is still recovering from a viral infection and finally, reigning Olympic champion Emma Snowsill has been left off Australia's triathlon team for the London Games in a selection decision that she plans to appeal.
In sporting news, the National Football League Players’ Association had a major setback in their efforts of trying to bar NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell from punishing players in the bounty scandal.  In so many ways, it is collectively the player’s fault that University of Pennsylvania law professor, Steven A. Burback, ruled that Goodell has the power to punish since it is written in the collective bargaining agreement that was decided on in August of 2011 to end the lockout.
