That’s why I praise him with a song, when things are right and when they’re wrong, He’s given me a second chance, come on lets praise Him in advance!  Welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.!

Kendrys Morales of the Angels
became the 3rd switch hitter in MLB
history to homer from both sides
of the plate in the same inning
Major League Baseball had six games on the diamond in the American League starting with the LA Angels literally spanking the Texas Rangers 15-8 as Kendrys Morales homered twice on both sides of the plate and one being a Grand Slam and became the 3rd switch hitter in MLB history to do so in the same inning, the Baltimore Orioles got past the New York Yankees 5-4 as Wilson Betemit homered, the Detroit Tigers were clawed up by the Boston Red Sox 7-3 as Will Middlebrooks launched a homerun, while the Chicago White Sox lost by a run 7-6 to the Minnesota Twins, the Toronto Blue Jays were beat up by the Seattle Mariners 4-1 Hisashi Iwakuma struck out a career best 13 batters and the Tampa Bay Ray and the Oakland A’s game lasted for 15 innings, so when I woke up, the A’s won 4-3 off of Jemile Weeks sacrifice fly and the A’s lead the majors with 12 walk-offs this season.
The National League in Major League Baseball also had six games that had the bats swinging as the Miami Marlins were blasted by the Atlanta Braves 8-2 as Jason Heyward’s 17th homer to help the Braves win on Monday for the first time this year, the San Diego Padres pummeled the Cincinnati Reds 11-5 to snap the Reds 10 game win streak, the Pittsburgh Pirates were literally spanked by the Chicago Cubs 14-4 as the Cubs scored 9 runs in the 5th inning, while the Houston Astros came up a weeee bit short and lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 8-7  as Cody Ransom went yard, the Arizona Diamondbacks demolished the LA Dodgers 7-2 as Chris Johnson, fresh off a trade from the Houston Astros, belted a Grand Slam and the New York Mets needed all of 10 innings to get past the San Francisco Giants 8-7 as Scott Hairston belted 2 homeruns and the eventual game winning homer in the 10th.
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, with a new general manager and the status of All-Star Dwight Howard still in limbo, the Orlando Magic introduced first time head coach Jacque Vaughn and when asked if he was hesitate on taking the job with uncertainty of their franchise player, Vaughn stated “Faith. Faith in your abilities. Faith in the people around you and one of the great character-building attributes of the franchises I've been around -- the foundation and the basis -- is having good people around you. The DeVos family is about that. Alex Martins is about that. And I know Rob Hennigan is about that” and finally, eight of nine Seattle City Council members have sent a letter to the investor seeking public help to build a new sports arena in the city, saying changes must be made to a proposal before they can support it.
For your NFL Quick Hits, Tampa police found reserve receive O. J. Murdock of the Tennessee Titans in his car from an apparent gunshot wound, in which he later passed at a local hospital….may God rest his soul in peace and bring comfort to his family, along with Brodey Poole and Andre Holmes, running back Felix Jones was one of three Dallas Cowboys who has not been cleared to practice after failing the team's conditioning test at the beginning of training camp, New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas experienced swelling in his knee on Monday morning and was sent to New York City to have his right knee examined, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb bruised his right thigh late in Monday's practice and left the field for treatment, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has returned to the team's training camp residence hall after an allergic reaction to seafood at lunch that sent him to a local hospital, but was fine after treatment, and finally, the NFL has confirmed Shannon Eastin, a woman will be among the group of referees used as replacements during the current lockout of NFL officials.
