Rusty Hardin for his arrest
For your London Summer Olympics, residents of a London apartment tower went to court Monday in a bid to stop their rooftop from being used as a missile base during the Olympic Games, saying the unprecedented deployment could make the building a terrorist target, no women from Saudi Arabia have qualified for the London Olympics, a newspaper from the ultraconservative Muslim kingdom reported, Roger Federer has not decided whether to accept an offer to carry Switzerland's flag during the opening ceremonies for the London Olympics and he might give the honor to someone else, and finally, U.S. national team goalkeeper Hope Solo received a public warning Monday from the U. S. Anti-Doping Agency on Monday after she tested positive for a banned substance and she has accepted the warning and will still play for the United States in the Olympic tournament.
For your NFL Quick Hits, high-powered attorney Rusty Hardin, who represented Roger Clemens, says Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson was "the victim" in an early-morning incident involving off-duty law enforcement officers in Houston early Saturday morning, former Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon, who has declared for Thursday's supplemental draft, is scheduled to hold his pro day today at the Houston Texans' training facility, according to a league source, Philadelphia Eagles running back Dion Lewis and his brother were arrested early Saturday morning after they pulled a fire alarm at an Albany, N.Y., area hotel, a Mississippi grand jury has decided not to indict Brandi Favre, the sister of former NFL quarterback Brett Favre, after it found there was not enough evidence to link her to charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, former NFL receiver Andre Rison was sentenced on Monday in federal district court in Phoenix to five years' probation and more than $300,000 in restitution for not paying child support, Amy Senser, the wife of former Minnesota Viking Joe Senser, plea for probation was rejected by a judge as she was sentenced her to nearly 3½ years in prison for a hit-and-run crash that killed a rising young restaurant chef, and finally, Houston Texans running back Adrian Foster tweeted that he has officially gone vegan and after his announcement, it caused a social media uproar and that he tweeted “people feel so strong about meat and milk. I wish they felt this strong about peace.”  Amen to that Adrian, Amen to that.
