AL MLB Scores, NBA w/ Michael Jordan, LA Lakers & Olympics w/ Hope Solo: 8/14, Vol. 207, 1st Edition

Our worship and our praise is shifting the atmosphere, till the heavens are open, this praise is shifting, shifting the atmosphere!  Good morning and welcome back to Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you it last yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s Roll!

Dwayne Wade working out
at Attack Athletics Gym
Major League Baseball in the American League only had five games on the half grass/half dirt field last night as the Texas Rangers were crushed by the New York Yankees 8-2 with the 15th homer from Nick Swisher, the Chicago White Sox lost by one run to the Toronto Blue Jays 3-2 in 11 innings as Moises Sierra belts his 1st homer, the Detroit Tigers were pummeled by the Minnesota Twins 9-3 as Ryan Doumit went yard for the 14th time, while the Cleveland Indians smashed past the LA Angels 6-2 with a homer from Brent Lillibridge and the Tampa Bay Rays powered past the Seattle Mariners 4-1 with B. J. Upton’s 13th homer.
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, Michael Jordan stands to lose as much as $1.5 million in a possible foreclosure of a gym he invested in, since a judge recently rejected a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the company of Tim Grover, who owns Attack Athletics Gym on Chicago's West Side, a person with knowledge of the deal says the Houston Rockets have agreed to a one-year deal with Argentine forward Carlos Delfino, who recently helped his country finish 4th in the Olympics, and finally, the LA Lakers officially signed guard Jodie Meeks after coming to terms with the free agent last week to a two-year deal, with the first year at $1.4 million and the second being a Lakers' team option that could be worth up to $2 million with incentives, in addition, they and also officially inked Devin Ebanks to a one-year deal worth $1,085,000, after initially agreeing to a new deal with the small forward more than a month ago.
For your London Olympics Post News, U.S. soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo, who helped her team win a gold medal at the London Olympics, writes candidly about her struggles and much-publicized incidents in her career in her new due out today titled "SOLO: A Memoir of Hope,"  just hours after the close of the Olympics, Nadzeya Ostapchuk, a female shot putter from Belarus, tested positive for the steroid metenolone, was stripped of her gold Monday in the first case of an athlete losing a medal for doping at the London Games, and speaking of doping, even before the flame was out, IOC President Jacques Rogge said efforts to fight doping at the Olympics were a success.
