LLWS, NASCAR, Sprint Cup Points Standings & AL MLB Scores & Results: 8/27, Vol. 215, 1st Edition

Truth is I’m weak, no strength to fight….no tears to cry, even if I tried. But still my soulrefuses to die and just one touch-will change-my life. Take me to the King, I don’t have much to bring, my heart and soul in pieces is my offering. Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you it last week! I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s Get It Started!

Your 2012 LLWS champs!
The 2012 Little League World Series came to screeching halt on Sunday as Japan and Tennessee battled for the coveted championship crown in South Williamsport, PA as Japan’s Noriatsu Osaka was a man-child with not one, not two, but three homeruns to help Japan steamroll and rocked Tennessee’s mountaintop 12-2.
Greg Biffle wins his 1st
race at Bristol
Round and round they go!  NASCAR was bumping and banging at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday as Denny Hamlin used an old school slide job to make a late pass that triggered the victory for him, a first at Bristol as Jimmie Johnson rolled in 2nd, Jeff Gordon cracked the top five coming in 3rd, Brian Vickers had to settle for 4th and Marcos Ambros put on another solid run coming in 5th.
So after another round of racing, the Sprint Cup Standings points reached a peak of 849 points as Greg Biffle sits atop, Jimmie Johnson has 838 for 2nd, while Dale Earnhardt, Jr is 3rd at only four points back with 834, Matt Kensenth has 823 and Martin Truex, Jr has 797 points to round out the top five.
The ladies of the basketball court only had two games on the schedule as the short-handed Chicago Sky cruised to a win against the Connecticut Sun 82-70 with Epiphany Prince scoring 15 points and the Seattle Storm demolished the New York Liberty 84-66 as Sue Bird notches a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The American League had six games on the diamond yesterday in Major League Baseball as the LA Angels were defeated by the Detroit Tigers 5-2 as Prince Fielder powered his 23rd homer, the New York Yankees used Curtis Granderson 200th homerun to get past the Cleveland Indians 4-2, the new look and after the fire sale Boston Red Sox actually notched a win 8-6 over the Kansas City Royals with a homer from Dustin Pedroia, while the Texas Rangers lost by one measly run to the Minnesota Twins 6-5 with 4 hits from Ben Revere, the Seattle Mariners lost in 7 innings due to rain out against the Chicago White Sox 4-3 as Tyler Flowers homered and the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles was postponed due to rain.
