NFL w/ Maurice Jones-Drew & Shad Khan, NBA w/ LeBron X & NL MLB Scores: 8/22, Vol. 212, 2nd Edition

There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth! It sounds like music in my ear, the sweetest name on Earth, O how I love Jesus because He first loved me!  Welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.!

LeBron X over $300????
The National League had eight games running bases last night in Major League Baseball as the Atlanta Braves lost to the Washington Nationals 4-1 as Stephan Strasburg notches his 15th win of the season while Ian Desmond belts his 19th homer, the Cincinnati Reds eked out a one run win against the Philadelphia Phillies 5-4 as Zack Cozart went yard in the 9th, the Colorado Rockies dominated the New York Mets 6-2, the Chicago Cubs lost again 5-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-2, the Houston Astros were SHUT OUT and literally spanked by the defending champion St. Louis Cardinals 7-0 as Adam Wainwright strikes out a career high 12 batters while pitching a complete game, while the Miami Marlins needed 10 innings to get the one run win against the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-5 as Giancarlo Stanton drives in the game winner in 10th, the San Diego Padres also needed 10 innings to get the win over the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-5 as Chase Headly homered in the 10th, and the San Francisco Giants outlasted the LA Dodgers 4-1.
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, LA Clippers All-Star and gold medalist point guard Chris Paul underwent successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb and is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban quickly moved on from the club's failed bid to land point guard Deron Williams. But he's holding a grudge against Jason Kidd, the championship point guard who surprisingly backed out on a deal to return and signed with the New York Knicks and stated “I was more than upset. I thought he was coming and you don't change your mind like that. I'm sure I'll get over it at some point, but as of now, I wouldn't put J-Kidd's number in the rafters”, Eduardo Najera is retiring from the NBA to become the head coach of the NBA D-League's Texas Legends, according to sources with knowledge of the decision, and finally, The Wall Street Journal reported in its Tuesday editions that the LeBron X shoe, scheduled to hit stores this fall, would retail for $315, while Matt Powell of SportsOneSource, later told ESPN that price was for Nike+ tech version of shoe, which would be limited run, and would likely cost closer to $290. Ahhhh, what’s $25 dollars amongst friends……huh!?
For your NFL Quick Hits, after Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mike Vick was knocked out of his 2nd pre-season games, X-rays on his ribs at the stadium were negative, and an MRI and CT scan on Tuesday revealed he has no broken bones or fractured cartilage, the NFL and the Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that the small-market franchise will play one home game in London for four consecutive seasons beginning in 2013 and team owner Shad Khan stated "We've got to go where we can leverage and take advantage of some of those things. You've got to fish in ponds where you've got fish in there. We're going to a pond where there are no fishermen", and finally, Maurice Jones-Drew's holdout appears far from over as his agent, Adisa Bakari, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that the Jacksonville Jaguars running back is upset with owner Shad Khan's recent public comments about his client's 27-day holdout as Khan stated “train's leaving the station. Run, get on it! Huh!?
