The National League in Major League Baseball were swinging their bats as the defending champs St. Louis Cardinals eked out a one run win against the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 with the 24th homer from Matt Holiday, the Milwaukee Brewers literally spanked the Chicago Cubs 15-4 as the Brewers used 5 homers to run on to victory, the LA Dodgers were SHUT OUT and totally embarrassed by the Colorado Rockies 10-0 as Tyler Colvin slams his 15th homer and Willin Rosario knocks in his 21st, while the Cincinnati Reds got the one run win 3-2 over the Arizona Diamondbacks and not only did Bronson Arroyo pitched 6 innings, but he also belted his 1st homer and the Atlanta Braves were SHUT OUT by the San Diego Padres 3-0 as Yasmani Grandal went yard.
I highlighted the notable wins for the women for the US Open in the first segment, so here are the notable wins for the men were Andy Murray, Roger Federer, Jeremy Chardy, Marin Cilic, Nikolay Davydenko, Mardy Fish and James Blake.

Williams, who had appealed the dismissal of his lawsuit seeking to overturn a six-game drug suspension by the NFL.
