NL MLB, The Barclays, LPGA & MLS Scores & Results: 8/27, Vol. 215, 2nd Edition

The Devil had a plan to kill me, I know, but God intercepted his plan, and told the devil no!  God blocked it and He wouldn't let it be so!  Welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.!

Lydia Ko becomes the
youngest to win
an LPGA event
Major League Baseball was getting their swing on in the National League as the defending champs St. Louis Cardinals walloped the Cincinnati Reds 8-2 as Allen Craig notches his 20th homer, the Houston Astros lost 2-1 to the New York Mets as Ike Davis slams 2 homers, the Washington Nationals lost a series to the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 with a homer from Jimmy Rollins, the Milwaukee Brewers SHUT OUT and literally spanked the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-0 as Aramis Ramirez hits his 18th homer, while the new look LA Dodgers were crushed by the Miami Marlins 6-2 as they use 4 homeruns to cap the win, the San Diego Padres eked out a one run win against the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-1 as they win their 7th straight, the Chicago Cubs surprisingly SHUT OUT and blasted the Colorado Rockies 5-0 and the Atlanta Braves pummeled the San Francisco Giants 7-1 as Jason Heyward delivers his 24th homer.
$8 million dollars was on the line at The Barclays in Bethpage State Park for the FedEx PGA Event and Nick Watney wins his 1st FedEx event as cruised to victory with a 10 under par, Brandt Snedeker finished 3 shots back at 7 under par and Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia finished tied for 3rd at 6 under par.
The ladies wrapped up their CN Canadian Women’s Open at The Vancouver Golf Club with a $2 million purse as Lydia Ko easily captured the win with a 13 under par, but her win was most notable as she is only 15 years of age and the youngest to win a LPGA event, while Inbee Park placed 2nd with a 10 under par and Na Yeon Choi and two other finished tied for 3rd at 8 under par.
Major League Soccer had only two games on tap last night as the LA Galaxy SHUT OUT FC Dallas 2-0 and Sporting Kansas City played to 1-1 draw against the New York Red Bulls.
