Olympics w/ Usain Bolt, NBA w/ Dwight Howard, Claressa Shields & Women's Soccer: 8/10, Vol. 205, 1st Edition

You see, my life was spinning out of control…the fact that I'm still alive today, is nothing shy of a miracle because God blocked it, He wouldn't let me fall and He wouldn't let it be so!  Good morning and welcome back to Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you it yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s Get It Started!

The Jamaican Trio!  Usain Bolt,
             Yohan Blake & Warren
          Weir dominate 200m
The 2012 Olympics witnessed more amazing games yesterday starting with the first man to win back-to-back gold medals in the 200m as Usain Bolt bolted off to a sensational start and eventually cruised across the finish line in 19.32 seconds, while his fellow countrymen Yohan Blake and Warren Weir finished 2nd and 3rd to get the Jamaican sweep.  Staying with Track and Field, Americans Christian Taylor is bringing home the gold in the triple jump while teammate Will Claye will bring home silver and Ashton Eaton finished his decathlon on the track to notch a gold medal and coming in 2nd with a silver medal is his teammate Trey Hardee as they finish 1-2 for the first time since 1956 for the US.
It was Redemption Day for Team USA in women’s soccer as the United States won their 3rd consecutive Olympic gold medal after beating Japan 2-1 in a rematch from last year’s World Cup final.
Claressa Shields is golden
              in women's boxing
She is only 17 but Claressa Shields not only made history but handled herself with style of a champion as Shields became the first female boxer to win gold at the Olympics in the middleweight class as she easily outpointed Irishwoman Katie Taylor 19-12.
Other medal winners yesterday was Terrence Jennings capturing the bronze in Taekwondo, US women’s capturing gold in water polo for the first time, and while the women for Team USA in basketball avoided a scare against Australia as they won by only 13 points to advance to the gold medal round.
With another grand day at the 2012 London Olympics, the total medal count gap is widening as the United States now has 39 gold, 25 silver and 26 bronze for a total of 90 medals, while now China has 37 gold, 24 silver and 19 bronze comprising of 80 medals and Russia increase its total to 56 for third place.
For your London Olympic News, Manteo Mitchell, the American sprinter had 200 meters to go in the first leg of the 4x400-meter relay preliminaries Thursday when he heard his leg snap, in which he broke but kept running to help his American team qualify, double amputee Oscar Pistorius and his South African teammates are moving on to the 4x400-meter relay final at the Olympics without even finishing their heat since they won their appeal after a crash, Usain Bolt took a momentary break from basking in his historic Olympic sprinting double to fiercely criticize former U.S. athlete Carl Lewis after Lewis made comments about the drug testing in Jamaica, American Track and Field runner Jeremy Wariner tore his left hamstring and will miss the final of the 4x400-meter relay Saturday, the IOC has opened an investigation into the Italian race walker expelled from the London Games for doping and could retest the 2008 gold medalist's samples from Beijing, prosecutors in the German city of Rostock have launched a criminal investigation regarding the boyfriend of Olympic rower Nadja Drygalla over his alleged involvement in a far-right attack, and finally, the Belgian Olympic Committee says it has told cyclist Gijs van Hoecke to leave the Olympics after photos appeared of him looking drunk and unable to walk while leaving a London nightclub.
Dwight Howard searching for
             gold in LA
In breaking news last night in the National Basketball Association, Orlando Magic superstar center Dwight Howard is finally getting his wish and leaving Orlando to hopefully greener or should I say golden pastures in the Los Angeles.  In order to facilitate the deal, it required four teams to participate as Howard goes to the Lakers and the Lakers send their All Star center Andrew Bynum and the Magic send Jason Richardson to the Philadelphia 76er’s, while the Denver Nuggets will receive Andre Iguodala from the 76er’s and the Magic will acquire from the Nuggets Aaron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic and they will also receive one protected future first round draft pick from each of the three teams.  In addition, the Lakers did not have to give up Pau Gasol, who is a very integral piece to the organization and the Lakers franchise player Kobe Bryant was simply ecstatic.
