Monday Night Football, Jonathan Vilma's $10k Bounty, NFL w/ Brian Stropolo: 9/18, Vol. 231, 1st Edition

Help me to see me the way You see me. Sometimes I see pain Lord, when You see victory; I see where I am Lord, You see where I shall be. Open my eyes, help me believe, I am what You see!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you it yesterday! I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Here We Go!

Peyton Manning had a
rough, rough outing last night
against the Falcons
Monday Night Football was on and popping last night as the Atlanta Falcons hosted the Denver Broncos as Peyton Manning didn’t start the game as he wanted as the Falcons chewed up 3 interceptions from Manning and the Falcons led 20-7 going into half-time.  But Manning started heating up in the 2nd half and the Broncos defense started playing like it was a game instead of a scrimmage and the Broncos came within a touchdown, but couldn’t close the gap as Matt ‘Ice Man’ Ryan was slinging the ball like a western cowboy with 219 yards and 2 TD’s as Roddy White caught 8 passes for 102 yards and a score.
Major League Baseball had light schedule last night as the American League only had three games on the diamond as the Detroit Tigers lost by a run to the Chicago White Sox 5-4, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 5-2 as Jacoby Ellsbury homered and the Baltimore Orioles pummeled the Seattle Mariners 10-4 as Matt Wieters launched his 22nd homer.
Jonathan Vilma had a little
chit, chat with Roger Goodell
In sporting news, once suspended and now reinstated New Orleans Saints Jonathan Vilma, meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in New York on Monday to discuss the bounty scandal.  At the meeting, the NFL presented a signed affidavit by former Saints coach Greg Williams that Vilma put a $10,000 bounty on former player Brett Favre.  Vilma continued to deny any wrongdoing and stated “Today everyone was afforded an opportunity to start over. It was in our best interest to meet today. We spoke truthfully, honestly, bluntly.”  Although Vilma and the other suspended players were re-instated, Goodell just has to clarify why he suspended the players in the first place, but more twists and turns are yet to come.
For your NFL Quick Hits, two-time Pro Bowl linebacker Brian Orakpo tore the pectoral muscle near his left shoulder, and defensive end Adam Carriker tore the quad tendon in his right knee and both players are done for the season, after Brian Stropolo, the side judge, displayed  his passion as a longtime Saints fan on his Facebook page and posted Sunday's game assignment, a specific violation of league policy for its officials, Stropolo was pulled from the New Orleans Saints game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday and will not return until the NFL completes their review, and finally, the board of directors at the San Diego Hall of Champions has decided to forego the normal voting process and induct Junior Seau into the Breitbard Hall of Fame on February 25 and will waive the normal two year period after a players career has concluded or their passing.
