The National League had four games on the diamond last night as the Milwaukee Brewers was literally spanked by the Washington Nationals 12-2 as Jordan Zimmerman struck out 7 batters and his play-play cousin Ryan Zimmerman launched his 24^th homer, the Pittsburgh Pirates was crushed by the New York Mets 6-2 as Ike Davis belts 2 homeruns, the defending champion St. Louis Cardinals demolished the Houston Astros 6-1 as Yadier Molina knocks out his 21^st homer and the Arizona Diamondbacks lost to the Colorado Rockies 4-2 as Andrew Brown went yard.

As the playoff picture starts to take shape, the American League divisional leaders are the New York Yankees in the East, the Chicago White Sox leads the Central division and the Texas Rangers leads the West as the Baltimore Orioles, the Oakland A’s and the LA Angels are in the Wild Card hunt.  The National League picture is more solidified as the Washington Nationals have clinched a playoff berth for the East, the Cincinnati Reds clinched the Central Division Title and the San Francisco Giants clinched the West Division Title, while the Atlanta Braves, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers are in the Wildcard hunt.
