NBA Pre-Season Scores, Olympics w/ Lance Armstrong, NBA w/ Reggie Miller Rule & All Star Voting Change: 10/24, Vol. 255, 1st Edition

My folks and friends, listen to these words.  See God saved me from myself when no one else was around and it was only by His grace, His mercy and His favor, ‘cause I know I don't deserve all the love He shows and how he let me know, that He’s never gonna leave my side and that’s why I love Him like I do!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it yesterday! I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  It’s Time To Get It On!

Carlos Boozer put in
work to get ready for
the regular season
The National Basketball Association had four pre-season games on the hard-court last night as the Phoenix Suns were hammered by the Golden State Warriors 102-97 as rookie Harrison Barnes tied a game high with 16 points, the defending champions Miami Heat got past the Charlotte Bobcats 98-92 with 21 points from Chris Bosh, the Indiana Pacers blasted the Cleveland Cavaliers 100-82 as David West scored 15 points and Danny Granger made his pre-season debut after being sidelined with a sore left knee scored 9 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder lost to the Chicago Bulls 94-89 as Carlos Boozer put in work with a double-double that included 24 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

5 time Tour de France winner
Miguel Indurain still believes
in Lance Armstrong
For your Olympics Sporting News, five-time Tour de France champion Miguel Indurain says he believes in Lance Armstrong's innocence after the American cyclist was stripped of his seven titles from the race and cites the case as bizarre since Armstrong never tested positive, late Monday night, Armstrong's bio on his Twitter profile included a mention of his seven Tour wins from 1999-2005, was removed hours after he was stripped of the titles by the International Cycling Union and banned from the sport for life, the head of the World Anti-Doping Agency believes cycling's world body must remove the officials who presided over the drug-tainted Lance Armstrong era for the sport to regain its credibility, retired Norwegian rider Steffen Kjaergaard, another former teammate of Lance Armstrong has admitted using banned performance-enhancing drugs and after his announcement was suspended from his job at the Norwegian Cycling Federation and stated "I have long thought that it was best for cycling as a sport that I took this secret to the grave. But the last weeks have made me change course for my own sake and tell the truth."

The NBA will institute the
Reggie Miller Rule
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, Kobe Bryant missed his second straight day of practice Tuesday with a strained right foot will likely miss tonight’s game against their cross hall rival, the LA Clippers, Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki is determined to return as soon as reasonably possible, but will not rush back from the first knee surgery of his career, according to Yahoo! Sports report, the NBA will institute the ‘Reggie Miller Rule’, which will call an offensive foul if a player kicks his leg out while in the act of shooting in order to draw a foul, the league will announce Wednesday a change to its All-Star ballot that will, for the first time, allow fans to vote for three undefined "frontcourt" players instead of having to vote for two forwards and a center, and finally, Brynn Cohn worked for the NBA as a senior account executive filed a $3 million gender discrimination lawsuit against the league Tuesday, saying it forced her and two other women with young children out of their jobs.  If this true, it is a downright shame and I guess the NBA has binder full of women to replace her!
