Kenjon Barner ran all over Arizona State last night |
Week
8 of College Football kicked off last night as 3rd ranked Oregon
College Football took their show on the road to face off against Arizona State
as Arizona can take pride in the fact they scored first, because after that,
Oregon stripped
them of their pride as they demolished
Arizona State 43-21 as Kenjon Barner ran the rock for 143 yards and not one, not two, but three TD’s in the only
ranked game of the night and for couple few non-ranked games, Houston lite up
the scoreboard for 42 points, but the problem was SMU almost doubled that score
as they trounced
Houston after scoring 72 points, seriously folks, when I first saw the score, I honestly
thought it was a basketball game however
comma I digress as Garrett Gilbert threw for 265 yards and count ‘em uno, dos, tres, quarto TD’s and last but certainly not least, there was one
HBCU game last night as the MEAC showcased Hampton taking on surprising North
Carolina Central and the game was really no match as North Carolina Central pummeled, pasted
and pulverized alliteration, I
Love It, Hampton 37-20 as Geovonie Irvine had 99 receiving yards and a score.

|
For
your NFL Quick Hits, The NFL Players Association filed papers in federal court
pointing out that the NFL permitted a 1996 incentive program for big hits
funded by then-Green Bay defensive lineman Reggie White and questions how Roger
Goodell can suspend Scott Fujita for essentially the same thing, an accidental
heroin overdose killed Garrett Reid, the son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy
Reid, a coroner said Thursday and investigators revealed they found a used
syringe and spoon in his room, along with a gym bag filled with dozens of
syringes and needles, despite returning to practice only Wednesday from a torn
Achilles in April, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is targeting and
expecting to play Sunday versus the Houston Texans, according to league
sources, Trent Richardson, Cleveland Browns running back, will be equipped with
protective padding aka a flak jacket over a rib cartilage injury Sunday when
the Browns play the Indianapolis Colts, authorities say Joshua Van Auker, who
tried to extort $15,000 from retired Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines
Ward has been arrested, and finally, the Detroit Lions have signed cornerback
Alphonso Smith and released running back Keiland Williams.
