Rd. 2 Of NFL & NLDS Scores, NASCAR Results, NFL News Feat. Matt Cassel & Mario Williams & Happy Anniversary To The Simpsons: 10/8, Vol. 243, 2nd Edt'n

Lay me at the throne, leave me there alone…..to gaze upon your glory and sing to you this song. Take me to the King, I don’t have much to bring, my heart and soul in pieces is my offering!  Welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.!

The Colts played their hearts out
to get the win over the Packers
for their coach Chuck Pagano
For Round Two of your NFL scores, the Miami Dolphins escape Cincinnati with a win over the Bengals as Ryan Tannehill passed for 223 yards and Reggie Bush rushed for a score, the Indianapolis Colts edged out the Green Bay Packers in a stunner 30-27 as Andrew Luck threw a career high 362 yards and notched the Colts record for the most passing yards by a rookie and added 2 TD’s as well, the Baltimore Ravens got the ugly 9-6 win over the Kansas City Chiefs with 102 rushing yards from Ray Rice, while the Cleveland Browns was demolished by the New York Giants 41-27 as Eli Manning threw the rock for 259 yards and not one, not two, but three TD’s, with all the TD’s going to Victor Cruz, a career high and Ahmand Bradshaw was a beast with career best 200 ground pounding yards, the Pittsburgh Steelers rallied past the Philadelphia Eagles 16-14 in a last second field goal along with a rushing score from Rashard Mendenhall and in the Sunday Night featured game, the San Diego Chargers and the New Orleans Saints were putting up some major points but it was the Saints rallying past the Chargers 31-24 as Drew Brees had a career record breaking night as he broke Johnny Unitas’ record for most games with a TD pass and Brees was en fuego with 370 yards and not uno, not dos, not even tres, but quarto TD’s and Marques Colston wasn’t too shabby as well with 131 receiving yards and 3 TD’s.

The National League Playoffs kicked off the NLDS for the Washington Nationals as they got the one run win over the defending champs 3-2 as the Nationals take a 1-0 series lead and it was Game 2 as the Cincinnati Reds SHUT OUT and literally spanked the San Francisco Giants 9-0 as Ryan Hanigan drove in 3 RBI’s as the Reds take a 2-0 series lead.

Matt Kenseth escaped a 25 car
pile-up to notch the win at Talladega
NASCAR was burning up the track at Talladega Superspeedway in the Chase for the Sprint Cup as Tony Stewart caused a 25 car pile-up that witnessed 10 of the 12 title contenders tangled in the crash as Matt Kenseth captured the checkered flag under caution.  With Brad Keselowski finishing 7th, he held onto the #1 spot in the Chase, Jimmie Johnson is holding down the 2nd spot, Denny Hamlin is 20 points behind for 3rd, while Kasey Kahne and Clint Bowyer both are tied for 4th and Jeff Gordan is 42 points behind at #6.

For your NFL Quick Hits, after  Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata knocked out quarterback Matt Cassell of the Kansas City Chiefs, fans who were calling for Cassell to be benched, cheered as right tackle Eric Winston called it “It's 100 percent sickening", Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith was ejected Sunday in the game against Tennessee Titans after pushing an official who was trying to break up an on-field altercation, The NFL is investigating why Mario Williams, who landed $50 million in guaranteed money this offseason, has publicly complained about his wrist as recently as this week, yet he still is not on Buffalo's injury report, and finally, Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu left in the first quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday with a right calf injury on a non-contact play when he returns to the game is questionable to return.
