Thursday Night Football & ALDS Scores & NBA Quick Dribbles w/ Dirk Nowitzki: 10/12, Vol. 247, 2nd Edt'n

Oh Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder; Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul my Savior God to Thee….How great Thou art, how great Thou art!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it yesterday! I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s Get It Started!

Rob Bironas kicked the Titans to
victory over the Steelers
The National Football League was in full effect for the Thursday Night Football as the Pittsburgh Steelers was trying to avoid dipping below .500 and the Tennessee Titans was trying to get on the path of .500 and the Titans were off to a good start as they led 16-10 going into half-time, but the Steelers would strike first in the 2nd half as Ben Roethlisberger tossed the rock for 363 yards and in doing so became the Steeler’s career passing leader.  But the Titans would rally despite Matt Hassellbeck throwing a pick and get the win 26-23 on a field goal from Rob Bironas as time expired and they also received 91 rushing yards from Chris Johnson.

The O's notch the win over
the Bronx Bombers to stay alive

While one game witnessed the conclusion of a ALDS, another game will live to play another day as the Baltimore Orioles extended the game to 13 innings before getting past the New York Yankees 2-1 with the help of Nate McLouth’s homerun and in the 2nd ALDS, the Detroit Tigers SHUT OUT and literally spanked the Oakland A’s  6-0 as Justin Verlander pitched a complete four hit game SHUT OUT with 11 strike outs, tied for the most in postseason history in a winner take all game, to propel the Tigers to the American League Championship Series.

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, Arthroscopic surgery is a possibility for Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki if his sore and swollen right knee doesn't respond to a week of rest and treatment, after his shoulder kept him out of Wednesday night's exhibition loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was able to practice Thursday, sort of, as he was dressed, but didn’t physically practice, during his final season with the Orlando Magic, LA Lakers center Dwight Howard said there were times when his left leg felt dead as pain shot through it from a herniated disc he was suffering with and finally, Brooklyn Nets shooting guard MarShon Brooks will be out 7-10 days with right foot tendinitis, coach Avery Johnson said Thursday.
