Truth is I’m weak. No strength to
fight….no tears to cry, even if I tried. But still my soul refuses to die and just one touch-will change-my
life. Take me to the King, I don’t have much to bring, my heart and soul in
pieces is my offering! Good morning and
welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better

Cheryl Reeves, coach of the Minnesota Lynx was fired up last night! |
The
Lovely Ladies of the WNBA continued their WNBA Finals last night with Game 2 of
the series as the defending champs Minnesota Lynx crushed the Indiana Fever 83-71
as they were fired
up by their coach’s Cheryl Reeves
jacket-tossing
sideline technical foul rant as Seimone Augustus was on en fuego as she made the sing out hallelujah with her 27 points and her teammate Maya Moore poured
in 23 points to back her up as the Lynx even the series 1 game apiece.
And
in off the court WNBA news, Connecticut's Tina Charles was the leading
vote-getter for the All-WNBA team, and Indiana's Tamika Catchings earned her
seventh first-team selection and LA Sparks' Candace Parker, New York Liberty
Cappie Pondexter and Minnesota's Seimone Augustus joined them on the first
team.
For
your NBA Quick Dribbles, Olympic champion and two-time All-Star Kevin Love of
the Minnesota Timberwolves, broke his right hand in a morning workout Wednesday
and will miss six to eight weeks, after being suspended for less than a day,
colorful guard Delonte West compared his one-day suspension from the Dallas
Mavericks to a dispute at a family barbecue and West stated “Uncle Ricky
handled the situation, you know what I mean?" We went and had a talk, and
we came right back to the barbecue”, well alright then, the Boston Celtics
added another versatile piece to their backcourt personnel Wednesday by signing
veteran combo guard Leandro Barbosa, according to a league source, Milwaukee
Bucks rookie forward John Henson will be held out of practice for about two
weeks after suffering a left knee sprain and bone bruise in Tuesday's preseason
loss to Chicago, the Sacramento Kings exercised the 2013-14 contract options of
center DeMarcus Cousins and guard Jimmer Fredette, the Toronto Raptors
exercised the fourth-year team option on forward Ed Davis' rookie-scale
contract, and finally, the effects of the NBA's new anti-flopping program are
being felt by players even before the program has been fully implemented as
Golden State Warriors guard Jarrett Jack indicated that he was among the first
NBA players to receive a warning from the league for flopping, tweeting
Tuesday, "So I've been warned for flopping hahaha”……yeah, yeah…laugh now ‘cause it’s all fun
and games till somebody’s pocket gets damage from fines…..huh!
For
your NFL Quick Hits, Jonathan Vilma did something he hasn’t done all season with
the New Orleans Saints, he practiced, as he awaits the appeal process of his
suspension, during a radio interview, Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed confirmed
Wednesday he has a torn shoulder labrum and that it may be affecting his level
of play, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis tore his right triceps in
Sunday's game against Dallas and underwent surgery on Wednesday, a league
source told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder and he was placed on injured reserve
with the "designated to return" tag, which means by rule, Lewis must
sit out eight weeks before he can return this season, the NFL fined Houston
Texans safety Danieal Manning $15,000 on Tuesday for his punch during the team’s
42-24 loss on Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers, and finally, fullback
John Conner, a Rex Ryan favorite who became a reality-TV sensation during the
New York Jets appearance in 2010 on
HBO’s Hard Knocks, was waived Wednesday with an injury settlement.
