For
your Olympic Sporting News, the New York City Marathon brings in roughly $340
million dollars in revenue impacted to the city and no hurricane, not even Ms.
Sandy, can postpone one of the greatest marathon’s in the country as the race
is slated to run on Sunday and Mayor Michael Bloomberg stated in part “There's
an awful lot of small businesses that depend on these people. We have to have
an economy. There's lots of people that have come here”, The International

governing body as part of a combined bid for the sports to return to the
Olympics in 2020 and finally, Edenbridge in southeast England has built a
30-foot (9-meter) model of Lance Armstrong, not to honor the disgrace American
cyclist, but to be burned in effigy during the English town's nationally famous
Bonfire Night celebrations….well, there was a song that said burn, baby
burn…..huh?!
