NBA Scores, NBA Quick Dribbles w/ James Harden, Scottie Pippen & Delonte West: 11/1, Vol. 261, 1st Edition

And when the song is over and we've all said Amen…..in your heart just keep on singing and the song will never end. And if somebody asks you, was it just a show; lift your hands and be a witness and tell the whole world no!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it yesterday! I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  It’s Game Time!

James Harden's debut with the
Houston Rockets was filled
with tricks and a lot of treats
for the Detroit Pistons
The National Basketball Association was jammed packed with games on their 2nd night as the Golden State Warriors eked out the 2 point win against the Phoenix Suns 87-85 with 17 points from Carl Landry, after the Dallas Mavericks won their opener in LA, they were pummeled by the Utah Jazz in their opener 113-94 as Marvin Williams and his distant 18th cousin Mo Williams each scored 21 points, the San Antonio Spurs withstood a late charge by 1st pick of the draft in Anthony Davis and his New Orleans Hornets 99-95 as Tim Duncan showed no slowdown in his game with a double-double of 24- points and 11 boards, the Chicago Bulls opened their season without their superstar point guard Derrick Rose as he continues to re-hab his knee, but they were just fine with the 93-87 defeat of the Sacramento Kings with Joakim Noah pouring in 23 points, the Houston Rockets are hoping that James Harden delivers this kind of performance on a nightly basis as he lit up the scoreboard with 37 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the Rockets cruise to a win against the Detroit Pistons, while the Denver Nuggets was rocked by the Philadelphia 76er’s 84-75 as Spencer Hawes put a double-double with 16- points and 12 rebounds, the Indiana Pacers got past the Toronto Raptors 90-88 as David West contributed 25 points, but it was George Hill nailed the go-ahead basket with 2 seconds left, and if I said Dwight Howard had a monster game of 33 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and Kobe Bryant had 30 points, you might think they won against the Portland Trailblazers however comma you would be incorrect as the Trailblazers sent the LA Lakers to their 2nd straight season of starting the season off 0-2, 116-106 as all five starters were in double figures lead by Nicolas Batum’s 26 points and the LA Clippers outlasted the Memphis Grizzlies 101-92 with Jamal Crawford came off the bench and was like a microwave and heated it up with 29 points and Chris Paul had a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists.

Scottie Pippen named as
senior adviser to COO of
Chicago Bulls
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, after the Houston Rockets pulled off the trade to pry James Harden from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Harden signed extension for five years, worth $80 million dollars, the highly anticipated regular-season opener Thursday between the Brooklyn Nets and the New York Knicks, which also was to be the first NBA regular-season game at the new $1 billion Barclays Center, has been postponed because of the devastation caused by Sandy, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg announced Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers have reached terms on a contract extension with guard Jrue Holiday reportedly on a four-year, $41 million deal, the Golden State Warriors and star guard Stephen Curry have reached terms on a contract extension on a four-year deal worth $11 million annually, Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson said Wednesday night he agreed to a four-year, $38 million extension, the Toronto Raptors reached an agreement on a contract extension with forward DeMar DeRozan worth $40 million dollars over four years and the incentive bonuses could push the overall value of the deal to $46 million, the Memphis Grizzlies have exercised the fourth-year option on swingman Quincy Pondexter, keeping him under contract through the 2013-14 season, the Chicago Bulls named Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen senior advisor to team president and COO Michael Reinsdorf on Wednesday, and finally, former and recently waived Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West wants a new job and he's posted a résumé of sorts on Twitter in hopes of getting one…..soooo, let’s see, you had a good job and basically got fired and now you’re looking for another one?  COME ON MAN!
