Lay me at the throne,
leave me there alone…..to gaze upon your glory and sing to you this song. Take
me to the King, I don’t have much to bring, my heart and soul in pieces is my
offering! Welcome back to your Spiritual
Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.!
College
football kicked off Week 10 as three games were featured last night starting
with the MAC Conference as the Ohio Bobcats literally spanked the
Eastern Michigan Eagles 45-14 as Tyler Tettleton passed for 255 yards and not one, not
two, but three TD’s and his
receiver Donte Foster was the recipient of 164 of those yards and 2 TD’s, in
the ACC, Miami snapped a three game losing streak by Hurricaning Virginia Tech 30-12
as Stephen Morris passed for 170 yards and 2 TD’s and the Sun Belt Conference
had two teams competing for the lone 2nd spot in the conference as
Middle Tennessee State and my cousin Darius Johnson aka @B1ggDawg75 faced off against their in conference rival in
Western Kentucky and the game was tied 27 all with 6:17 left in the game but
during a kickoff, Reggie Whatley of Middle Tennessee said excuse me as I make my way to the end zone with
a 96 yard kickoff TD return that eventually sealed the deal as the Blue Raiders topple the
Hill Toppers 34-29 to seize sole possession of 2nd place in the Sun
Belt and with the win, they are going bowling.
Congratulations!
Major
League Soccer had one match on the grass last night as the Los Angeles Galaxy knocked off the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1.
In
sporting news, the budding business relationship with rapper 50 Cent and
pound-for-pound boxing king Floyd “Money” Mayweather is over. The two had formed their boxing promotion
company called TMT Promotion, which stands ‘The Money Team’ back in July after
receiving its license by the New York State Athletic Commission. But with 50’s Tweet on Thursday, it confirmed
what had been speculated for weeks that they were ending TMT. 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, Tweeted
TMT IS OVER. The Money team is no longer a team. So it's SMS Promotions. That's
it. That's all. I move the fighters to SMS Promotions 'cause the other half of
the money team didn't put up (their) MONEY$."
For
your NFL Quick Hits, the Pittsburgh Steelers will fly to New Jersey only hours
before playing the New York Giants on Sunday because of a travel disruption
caused by Hurricane Sandy as their hotel in Jersey City still doesn't have
power since the super-storm hit the East Coast, and the team can't find another
hotel to accommodate the organization in the area, and speaking of Hurricane Sandy,
the NFL and its players' union each will donate $1 million to the American Red
Cross and other organizations to help in the recovery efforts, the New England
Patriots on Thursday moved to bolster their porous secondary, acquiring
cornerback Aqib Talib, who has one game remaining on a four-game suspension for
violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances, from the
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Michael Vick, secure as the Philadelphia Eagles' starting
quarterback this week after receiving a public endorsement from coach Andy
Reid, called a players-only meeting Wednesday, with the team on a three-game
losing streak, outside linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, one of the leaders of the
Atlanta Falcons' defense, will miss Sunday night's game against the Dallas
Cowboys with a right ankle injury, Farmers Field is ready for construction in
LA and the next step, which is a pretty one, is to land a NFL team, and
finally, after giving his family a large sum of money after signing with the
Dallas Cowboys on a four year deal worth $12.5 million dollars back in 2011,
offensive lineman Tyron Smith, is being pressured by his family for more money
to a point in which a 911 call was made after family members showed up at
Smith's North Dallas home and proceeded to "harass and torment" him
"in the pursuit of collecting financial gain." Seriously….to the entire family, momma,
step-daddy, brother, sister, aunt, uncles, cousins, distant cousins, play-play
cousins, God-cousins and errrybody else….I have three words: COME ON MAN!
