Olympics w/ The IOC, MMA, Media Blackout @ Roll Tide & Craig Allen of MTSU: 11/27, Vol. 276, 3rd Edition

I couldn't seem to fall asleep; there was so much on my mind, searching for that peace….but the peace I could not find. So then I kneeled down to pray, praying help me please; then He said you don't have to cry, cause I'll supply all your needs!  For your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.

Jaques Rogge is favor of a four
                 year ban on doping cheats
For your Olympic Sporting News, IOC president Jacques Rogge supports proposals to double the length of doping bans to four years as a way of keeping drug cheats out of the Olympics and the IOC will hold hearings early next month for the five athletes whose doping samples came back positive in retests from the 2004 Athens Olympics, the final step that could lead to the stripping of several medals.

Craig Allen of MTSU expected
to make full recovery
following surgery

For your Quick News & Notes, strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold suffered a hand injury that has forced him out of a January 12 title showdown with Lorenz Larkin, beginning in 2013, all contracts for Bellator title bouts will include a tentative rematch clause, promotion CEO Bjorn Rebney announced Monday, Louisville announced that junior center Gorgui Dieng is out four to six weeks with a broken left wrist, Florida linebacker Jelani Jenkins will miss the Gators' bowl game after undergoing surgery on Monday to repair a broken bone in his right foot, with Georgia one win away from playing for a national championship, quarterback Aaron Murray has imposed a media blackout as he received permission from coach Mark Richt to be relieved from his media responsibilities leading up to the SEC Conference championship, Stanford coach David Shaw has won the Pac-12 Conference's Coach of the Year award for the second straight season, the NHL's stalled labor impasse has gone a new route, with the league and NHL Players' Association agreeing to meet with a mediator on Wednesday, Evan Longoria, third baseman of the Tampa Bay Rays agreed Monday to a 10-year contract that adds six guaranteed seasons and $100 million, a full postseason share for the World Series champion San Francisco Giants was worth a record $377,003, breaking the mark that had stood since the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals, and finally, Craig Allen, linebacker for Middle Tennessee State University, underwent successful surgery to remove a herniated disc from his neck and will be out for the rest of the season, but his prognosis looks good as God is good.
