Thursday Night Football, NBA & NCAAF Scores & NBA News w/ Kobe's Death Stare: 11/8, Vol. 267, 1st Edition

Hello God, here I am again, coming to in prayer, lifting my voice to say You reign supreme and You have been better to me than I could ever be to myself.  God You are my provider and I’m praying oh Father God that you bring abundant blessings to those who are suffering after Hurricane Sandy…touch them, heal them, and comfort them.  In Jesus name I pray…..Amen.  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it last yesterday!  I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s Get It Started!

Andrew Luck had the Colts
in sync against the Jags
It was Thursday night last night and that can only mean two things:  Thursday Night Football and NBA on TNT as I kick off this sports segment with the National Football League as Andrew Luck took his Indianapolis Colts down to Jacksonville, FL, my old stomping grounds, to play tackle football against the Jaguars and the Colts jumped all over the Jags with Luck’s 2 TD runs and took a 17-3 lead into halftime and in the 2nd half, it was more Colts, Colts, Colts as they ransacked, rumbled, and raided, alliteration, I Love It, the Jags house 27-10 with 227 yards from Luck and his rushing TD’s.

Kevin Durant poured it on
in the 4th quarter against the Bull
s
The Association had two games that were showcased across the Great United States starting with the first game as the Western Conference Champions in the Oklahoma City Thunder faced off against the team that was vying for the Eastern Conference and more, in the Chicago Bulls, but hit snag with their star point guard suffering an injury. But last night’s game was close throughout as the game came down to the 4th quarter and that’s when Kevin Durant turned it up a notch as he scored 10 of his 24 points in said quarter to lead the Thunder past the Bulls 97-91 and Russell Westbrook finished with 12 assists.  In the second game, the Lob City Clippers battled against the new look Portland Trailblazers as the Clippers withstood a huge 3rd quarter effort by the Blazers as the Clippers were outscored 32-17, but put on charge themselves in 4th quarter to surge past the Blazers 103-90 as DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul each scored 21 points, but it was Jamal ‘Microwave’ Crawford netting a sizzling 25 points off the pine, well it’s actually a chair, but just work with my metaphor please.

Last second TD toss was
             needed for FSU
           to get past VT
There was one ranked team in action last night on the Grid Iron as the Atlantic Coast Conference showcased 10th ranked Florida State clashing against Virginia Tech and VT came to play and give the Seminoles a run for their money as they only trailed by 3 at the half and in the 2nd half, FSU struck first and with 2:19 left in the game and Virginia Tech leading by 2, FSU’s EJ Manuel tossed a 39 yard TD pass to Rashad Green with 40 seconds left in game as Florida State held on for the win 28-22 as Manuel finished with 328 yards and not one, not two, but three TD’s and the aforementioned Greene caught passes for 125 yards and 2 TD’s.

Kobe's Death State at
             Mike Brown
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks took a break from basketball Thursday and went back to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, one of many areas hit hard by last week's hurricane, to hand out boxes of food and housing supplies to those in need, after 10 NBA seasons averaging 13.5 points and 7 rebounds, former NBA big man Mehmet Okur announced his retirement from basketball on Wednesday at the age of 33, the NBA has suspended Sacramento Kings forward Thomas Robinson for two games for elbowing Detroit's Jonas Jerebko in the neck,  Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut will be sidelined the next seven to 10 days to rest and strengthen his surgically repaired left ankle and finally, after Kobe Bryant of the LA Lakers ‘Death Stare’ at coach Mike Brown during their 4th loss of the season, Bryant laughed it off and said people are really bored and that he continues to support Brown.
