Thursday Night Football & NBA Scores & NBA Quick Dribbles w/ Rajon Rondo & San Antonio Spurs: 11/30, Vol. 278, 1st Edition

You were life, when I was dying…You were strength, when I was crying. You were right and I was so wrong…..You were a melody, when I had no song. And this is why I continually give Your name the praise!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it yesterday…..I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  It’s Game Time!

The Falcons defense was too
               much for the Saints offense
Thursday Night Football featured one of most heated and growing rivalries in the National Football League as the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons went to battle on the Grid Iron as the Falcons struck first and struck early with a 3 yard TD run from Michael Turner and the Saints joined the TD party, but only after the Falcons scored yet another TD as the Falcons led at halftime 17-7.  In the 2nd half, both defenses stepped up as each team scored two field goals apiece as the Falcons got the best of the Saints 23-13 and they picked off Drew Brees 5 times as they flew their way to the best record in the NFL at 11-1.

David Lee's 30 points
helped the Warriors notch the win
          against the Nuggets
The National Basketball Association had only two games last night as the short-handed San Antonio Spurs gave the full handed defending champion Miami Heat all they could handle as the Heat prevailed with the 105-100 win as LeBron James finished with 23 points, but it was Ray Allen’s trey with 22.6 seconds left in the contest that made the difference and the Denver Nuggets, gave the appearance that they would win the game, but the Golden State Warriors eked out the one point win 106-105 as Andre Igoudala’s 3 pointer was waived off as the buzzer sounded and he also had a chance to tie the game, but missed the last of three free throws, meanwhile, the Warriors rode David Lee’s red hot 31 points to victory.

Rajon Rondo earned himself a
2 game suspension after this fight
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich sent stars Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, plus key role player Danny Green, home for Thursday night's game against the Miami Heat, choosing rest instead of playing them in an early-season showdown, but NBA commissioner David Stern promised repercussions for the move, saying the Spurs will face "substantial sanctions" for their approach to the game,  Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended for two games for his involvement in an on-court altercation during Wednesday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the NBA announced Thursday, in addition, in the same game, Nets forward Gerald Wallace was fined $35,000 and Celtics center Kevin Garnett was fined $25,000 for escalating the altercation, Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut revealed that the ankle surgery he had last season was more serious that previously said, and the team is now saying he is out indefinitely, Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez will miss the next two games because of a mild right foot sprain, the team announced Thursday, the Oklahoma City Thunder have assigned rookie Jeremy Lamb to their NBA Development League affiliate in Tulsa, and finally, David Courtney, the public-address announcer for the Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Clippers, made the transition at the age of 56 on Thursday, all three teams announced and no cause of death was released.
