A Prayer For Sandy Hook, Round 1 NFL & NBA Scores & NFL w/ Sandy Hook Victims Remembered: 12/17 - Vol. 290 - 3rd Edition

Oh, heavenly Father, I stretch my hands to thee, no other help I know. If thou remove Thyself from me, where should I go?  Gracious and kind Father I come to You now, asking that you provide a blessing to those families that lost those 20 precious children and those 6 incredible adults in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Gracious God, I ask You to bless those souls that were lost but also comfort, console and hold the family members that are left behind. This blessing and prayer I ask in the name of Jesus and His name I pray…..Amen.  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it the last time you heard it…..I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  It’s Game Time!

Brandon Carr essentially sealed
the deal for the Cowboys in the OT
              win over the Steelers
Week 15 in the National Football had a plethora of intriguing games and its share of SHUT OUTS as I run down scores in Round 1 as the  Oakland Raiders SHUT OUT the Kansas City Chiefs 15-0 as Sebastian Janikowski scored all 15 field goal points, overtime was needed in The Big D as the Dallas Cowboys intercepted Ben Roethisberger in overtime to set up the game winning field goal as the Cowboys get the 27-24 win and Tony Romo passed for 341 yards and 2 TD’s, the Carolina Panthers took away the San Diego Chargers power 31-7 as Cam Newton notched 231 passing yards and 2 TD’s, the Arizona Cardinals snapped their 9 game losing streak by taming the Detroit Lions 38-10 as the Cardinals picked the pocket of Matthew Stafford not once, not twice, but three times and 2 times for a score, while the Seattle Seahawks literally spanked the Buffalo Bills 50-17 as Russell Wilson had 205 passing yards and a passing TD, but he also had not one, not two, but three rushing TD’s, the Houston Texans got back in the win column as they branded the Indianapolis Colts 29-17 as Andre Johnson had 151 receiving yards and a score and the Texans wrapped up their 2nd consecutive AFC South title and the Denver Broncos blasted, bomb rushed and beat down, Alliteration, I Love It, the Baltimore Ravens 34-17 as Chris Harris had a pick 6 against Joe Flacco for 98 yards.

Kobe had a moment with his former
            teammate Andrew Bynum &
          dropped 34 points
The National Basketball Association had four games that tipped off yesterday as the Denver Nuggets steamrolled the Sacramento Kings 122-97 as JaVale McGee contributed 19 points off the bench, my LA Lakers won consecutive games for the first time in a month as they crushed the Philadelphia 76er’s 111-98 as Kobe Bryant made the nets sizzle with 34 points and Metta World Peace pulled down a career high of 16 rebounds, the Toronto Raptors cruised past the Houston Rockets 103-96 as Jose Calderon was ballin’ as he notched a triple-double with 18 points, 10 board and passed out 14 dimes and the New Orleans Hornets lost by one measly point to the Portland Trailblazers 95-94 as J. J. Hickson had a gigantic double-double with 24 points and 16 glass grabbing rebounds.

The NFL & specifically the
             New England Patriots remembered
               the victims of Sandy Hook
For your NFL Quick Hits, two days after 20 children and six adults were tragically taken away at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT NFL teams across the country honored the victims' memory by asking for a moment of silence and darkening their scoreboards and Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he regrets allowing his team to attempt a fake punt while they had a 30-point lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills and claimed that he did not call for the fake punt, stating that the play was part of the Seahawks' original game plan.
