NBA & Women's College Basketball Scores & NBA Quick Dribbles w/ The Pelicans: 11/5, Vol. 282, 1st Edition

We clap our hands in the sanctuary…we clap our hands to give You the glory….we clap our hands to give You the praise and we will praise You for the rest of our days!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it the time you heard it…..I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Let’s make it do, what it do!

Jordan Crawford led the Wizards
over the UPSET win against the Heat
The National Basketball Association had plenty of excitement on the hard-court last night as I kick this fresh sports segment with your NBA scores as the Minnesota Timberwolves literally spanked the Philadelphia 76er’s 105-88 as Jose Juan Barea had a double-double off the cushy bench with 11 points and 10 dimes, the defending champs Miami Heat was UPSET by the Washington Wizards 105-101 despite a triple-double from LeBron James as Jordan Crawford put up 22 points to lead the Wizards to their 2nd win of the season, the OKC Thunder was led by Kevin Durant’s 32 monster points as they got past the Brooklyn Nets 117-111, while the Indiana Pacers got past the Chicago Bulls 80-76 as Paul George was ballin’ outside of his mind with a game high of 34 points, the Memphis Grizzlies needed OT to put away the Phoenix Suns 108-98 as Zach ‘Zebo’ Randolph had a beast of a game with 38 basket filling points and pulled down 22 big boy pants rebounds and speaking of big boy pants, Kobe Bryant’s back  is gonna be sore this morning as he tried putting my LA Lakers on his back with 39 points, but the problem was they allowed the Houston Rockets to comeback from 13 down to take the game 107-105 as Tony Douglas led the Rockets with 22 points.

Ebony Rowe was a
            dominating factor
           against Austin Peay
Women’s College Basketball only had one ranked game that tipped off last night as 6th ranked Georgia pummeled, pounded and pulverized, alliteration, I Love It, Mercer 80-38…ouch, as Jasmine Hassell, Jasmine James and Erika Ford each scored 12 points and for a couple few unranked scores, Arkansas Little Rock simply befuddled Southern Mississippi 64-45, Western Kentucky was defeated by Vanderbilt 77-67, Florida lambasted Troy 87-62 and in the Sunbelt Conference, home of the Blue Raiders at Middle Tennessee, Ebony Rowe put down a double-double with 14 points and 14 glass grabbing rebounds as Middle Tennessee took care of business and blasted Austin Peay 70-56.

The new mascot of the New Orleans
                 Hornets (Pelicans) for next season

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, now that the New Orleans Hornets, who originally moved from Charlotte, has been purchased by the New Orleans Saints owner, Tom Benson, he would like a name that reflects something that represents the state of Louisiana starting next season.  So what will be the new name you ask? Wait for it, wait for it……the Pelicans, which technically is the Brown Pelican that is the official state bird and Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol missed Tuesday night's game against the Houston because of tendinitis in both knees.
