NFL Round 1, NBA & Men's College Basketball Scores & NBA Quick Dribbles: 12/3, Vol. 280, 1st Edition

Oh, heavenly Father….I come to with a bowed head and a humble heart.  Giving Your Marvelous Mercy the praise it is worthy of receiving.  Precious Lord, I ask of You to touch the lives of those babies born into this world with some sort of health condition….asking You to heal them through and through and bless their parents with the faith and the strength they will need.  I pray this prayer in the matchless name of Jesus…….Amen.  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it the last time you heard it…..I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  It’s Game Time!

Andrew Luck caps another
              comeback win
Sunday was filled powerfully packed games in the NFL as I kick off your Round I scores as the Jacksonville Jaguars bayoued by the Buffalo Bills 38-14 as Ryan Fitzpatrick only passed for 112 yards, but had 2 TD’s, the Seattle Seahawks needed overtime to muscle past the Chicago Bears 23-17 as Russell Wilson’s TD toss won the game and he finished with 293 and 2 TD’s, Andrew Luck continues to wow and make comeback after comeback as his Indianapolis Colts stun the Detroit Lions with zero time left on the clock 35-33 as Luck finished the game with 391 yards and count ‘em uno, dos, tres, quarto TDs’ and become the winningest rookie QB drafted #1 in the Super Bowl era, while Adrian ‘All Day’ Peterson ran for 210 scorching yards, but the Minnesota Vikings found ways to lose with turnovers and such against the Green Bay Packers 23-14 as Aaron Rodgers passed for 286 yards and a score, the Houston Texans clinched a playoff berth by trouncing the Tennessee Titans 24-10  with 207 passing yards from Matt Schaub and 2 TD’s and the Kansas City Chiefs played with heavy hearts since their teammate Jovan Belcher took his life and his girlfriend’s life, may God rest both of their souls in peace, but they found a way to get their 2nd win of the season against the Carolina Panthers despite 3 TD’s from Cam Newton as Brady Quinn had 201 passing yards along with 2 TD’s.

Jameer Nelson leads the Magic
to a win over his former teammate
in Dwight Howard & the Lakers
The National Basketball Association had only two games on Sunday as Carmelo Anthony led the New York Knicks with 34 points against the Phoenix Suns 106-99 and Rasheed ‘Get Thrown Out’ Wallace beat his own record of getting tossed from the game due to technical fouls after only 1:25 seconds…….the fans popcorn was still hot!  Nonetheless comma I digress as Dwight Howard faced his old team my home city Orlando Magic for the first time since being traded to the my Los Angeles Lakers and the game basically was lost at the free throw line with the Magic shooting 95% and the Lakers shooting 64% as Howard missed 12 free throws as the Magic notched the first win against their former Superman 113-103 as Aaron Afflalo lite up the scoreboard with 30 points.

Men’s College Basketball didn’t have any ranked games on tap yesterday however comma Clemson breezed past South Carolina 64-55 as K. J. McDaniels scored 16 points, Mercer knocks off Florida State 61-56 with Travis Smith scoring 13 points and Georgia State eked out the one point win over Liberty 67-66 with Devonta White and Manny Atkins each scoring 147 points.

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, Rip Hamilton has a torn plantar fascia in his left foot, an MRI revealed Sunday and New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton suffered a contusion and a bone bruise in his left hand late in the Knicks' 106-99 win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday and underwent an MRI on Sunday evening to determine the extent of the injury and his currently listed as day to day.

And last but not least, I like to wish my Big Time cousin doing Big Time things at MTSU a very Happy Birthday!
