As reported in quick news and notes on Monday, former second pick in the 1988 NFL draft and quarterback of  several NFL teams, Ryan Leaf was arrested last week and posted a $76k bond for burglary and stealing prescription drugs. Ohhhhh what a game last night in the Bayou City of N’awlins as #1 seed Kentucky battled 2nd seeded Kansas in the national title game and it was Kentucky that pretty much lead the entire game and withstood a late charge to knock off Kansas 67-59 to win their eight national title with 22 points from Deron Lamb, but the night belonged to the Wildcats’ Anthony Davis as he only six points, but hauled in 16 rebounds, handed out five assist and swatted six shots as he won the most outstanding player.

The National Basketball Association had six games on tap last night as the Milwaukee Bucks crushed the Washington Wizards 112-98 with 19 points from Brandon Jennings, the Houston Rockets gave the Chicago Bulls their first losing streak all season by beating them 99-93 as Doran Dragic lead all scorers with 21 points, the Memphis Grizzlies knocked off one of the best teams in the NBA by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 94-88 as OJ Mayo netted 22 points, while the Lob City Clippers demolished the defending champion Dallas Mavericks 94-75 as Randy Foye had a game high of 28 points, the Utah Jazz got past the Portland Trailblazers 102-97 as Paul Milsap lite up the scoreboard with 31 points and the Minnesota Timberwolves was blasted by the Sacramento Kings 116-108 with Tyreke Evans scoring 24 points.
