Charles Barkley, Serena Williams, Bill Parcells & Jose Maria Olazabal: 4/12, Vol. 119, 3rd Edt'n

I am more than a conqueror, if God be for me, who can be against me!  For your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.
Former NBA player and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley, who is very opinionated, weighed in on the Lamar Odom situation and is very disgusted the Dallas Mavericks are on the hook for Odom’s remaining salary and believes Odom’s poor play and short stint with the Mavericks is attributed to him not getting over his divorce with his former team, the LA Lakers.  Barkley indicated he was disappointed in Odom and stated “"I always pull for the players, but the fact that they've got to pay him, I think is a joke & he didn't earn his salary. He didn't earn it at all.” Charles, tell us how you really feel!?

After Isaiah Thomas was fired from his head coaching position at Florida International last week, several players are requesting to be released from their scholarships.  FIU president Mark Rosenberg and other administrators received a letter from the team asking for help in their release and also wanted an explanation on why Thomas was fired.  After Thomas went 26-65 in three seasons, FIU indicated they were moving in a different direction and the letter from the players read in part “we ask that under such circumstances with our mentor being fired you to give us the freedom of choice to 'move in another direction’ and please help us receive our athletic 'releases' so that we can find a coach and program which will be a good fit in our growth."  As of now, there is no response from FIU.
