I like living this kind of life; I'm living a blessed life! I can speak to mountains, they will be moved….I can speak to dreams…they will come true, I can tell my troubles…..get away, God gave me the power, to make my day! Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio better than when you heard yesterday, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y!  Here We Go!

Josh Hamilton
Last night’s games in the National Basketball Association featured four game fives and all were potentially close out games and this has not happened since the 2003 season as teams must Win or Go Home!  As we start with the Orlando Magic trying to stay alive against the Indiana Pacers but they were outmuscled by the Pacers 105-87 as Danny Granger lead the Pacers with 25 points to advance to the next round, the Boston Celtics were trying to send the Atlanta Hawks flying back to their nest, but the Hawks came out on top 87-86 thanks in part to Rajon Rondo’s mishandling of the ball in the waning seconds as Al Horford scored 19 points in his first start since January, the Philadelphia 76er’s couldn’t close out the Chicago Bulls and lost 77-69 as Luol Deng had a game high of 24 points to trim the 76er’s series lead 3-2 and despite 43 points from Kobe Bryant, the LA Lakers could not close out the Denver Nuggets and lost 102-99 with 24 points from Andre Miller.

The National Hockey League had one potential close out game on the iceeee last night as the New Jersey Devils skated past the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1 with a balanced scoring attack as the Devils advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Games were a plenty last night in Major League Baseball starting with the American League as the Texas Rangers literally spanked the Baltimore Orioles 10-3 with not one, not two, not even three, but four monster homeruns from Josh Hamilton, the Chicago White Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians 5-3 in 10 innings with 2 RBI’s from A. J. Pierzynski, the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the New York Yankees 5-3 as Raul Ibanez belted out 2 homeruns, the Boston Red Sox came up short against the Kansas City Royals 6-4 as Billy Butler belted out a homerun, while the LA Angels were SHUT OUT and blasted by the Minnesota Twins 5-0 as Scott Diamond won his first start of the season, the Toronto Blue Jays were trounced by the Oakland A’s 7-3 with homeruns from Brandon Inge and Josh Reddick and the Detroit Tigers got the best of the Seattle Mariners 6-4 with a homerun from The Prince.

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo won't have to submit the 12-man roster for the men's Olympic basketball team until July 8, according to a USA Today report, LA Lakers coach Mike Brown called extending the series against the Denver Nuggets to get Metta World Peace back for the next round "a joke" and finally, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant auctioned off the mask he wore this season after breaking his nose and suffering a concussion in the NBA All-Star Game and raised $67,100 for the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation…talk about an expensive mask, but at least it went for a good cause.

Carlos Beltran homers
The National League in baseball had a plethora of games on the diamond as the New York Mets walloped the Philadelphia Phillies 7-4 with 2 RBI’s from Lucas Duda, the Washington Nationals lost by one run to the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-4 as Andrew McCutchen got his first homerun of the season, the Atlanta Braves knocked off the Chicago Cubs 3-1 with 2 RBI’s from Dan Uggla, the Miami Marlins was defeated by the Houston Astros 3-2 as Wilton Lopez earned his 3rd win, the Cincinnati Reds were crushed by the Milwaukee Brewers 8-3 with a homerun from Cesar Izturis, while the defending champions St. Louis Cardinals pummeled the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-1 as Carlos Beltran belted 2 homeruns, the Colorado Rockies lost to the San Diego Padres 3-1and the San Francisco Giants eked out a one run win over the LA Dodgers 2-1 as Brett Pill launched a homerun.

In sporting news, as the news of concussions and the early, untimely passing of National Football League players, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health revealed in a study that former players live longer than men in the general population.  Players participated for at least five seasons from 1959-1988 and they were observed the organization through 2007 and basically is a follow-up to a 1994 report the organization performed at the request of the players union as the union had concerns that players were passing away prematurely.

For your NFL Quick Hits, former Minnesota Vikings All-Pro receiver Cris Carter says he put "bounties" on opposing players as a form of protection during his 16-year NFL career and stated “Protect myself. Protect my family. That's the league that I grew up in", the Minnesota Senate pushed more Vikings stadium financing costs in the direction of the team and fans Tuesday as supporters grasped for extra votes to keep the proposal alive, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs had surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon Tuesday and is expected to make a full recovery, the San Diego Chargers have signed draft picks Melvin Ingram, Kendall Reyes and David Molk to four-year contracts and finally, the Baltimore Ravens have reached a two-year deal with Jacoby Jones for $7 million dollars and agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with safety Bernard Pollard.
