            Major League Baseball pitched off their World Series last night as history was made and a comeback story that will you make go awwwww as the San Francisco Giants battled with the Detroit Tigers and this battle belong to the Giants as they simply pummeled, pulverized and pasted, alliteration, I Love It, the Tigers 8-3 as Pablo Sandoval became the 4th player in MLB World Series history to blast 3 homeruns but was the first to do in his first 3 plate appearances.  And the comeback story was Barry Zito, who had been left off in all 3 postseason rosters in 2010, got the start last night was simply marvelous as he dominated to get the win and even drove in a run as the Giants take Game 1 of the World Series.

In sporting news, the National Football League Players Association is opposed to having former commissioner Paul Tagliabue take the place of recused current commissioner Roger Goodell to preside over the appeals of the four suspended New Orleans Saints players citing conflict of interest and want Tagliabue to recuse himself as well.  The union asked in U. S. District Court in New Orleans that they appoint a neutral arbitrator for the appeals process and the NFL would oppose Tagliabue stepping aside.

For your NFL Quick Hits, Forbes released their annual least liked and most liked players and the top five least liked players in the National Football League were Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions, Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears, Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles, Randy Moss of the San Francisco 49er’s and the Matt Lienert of the Oakland Raiders and top five most liked players are Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, Charles Woodson of the Green Bay Packers, Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos and Aaron Rodgers also of the Green Bay Packers, Mario Williams is not expected to miss any games after the Buffalo Bills high-priced defensive end had what the team called "a procedure" to relieve discomfort in his injured left wrist, Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams will serve 30 days under home arrest for driving under the influence but not until after the season, Cleveland Browns starting linebacker Scott Fujita will be placed on injured reserve with a neck injury, ending his stormy season, and perhaps his football career, the Carolina Panthers announced they placed three-time Pro Bowl linebacker Jon Beason on injured reserve Wednesday with knee and shoulder issues, Cleveland Browns offensive guard Jason Pinkston has been released from the hospital after being treated for blood clots in his lungs, the Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Brian Robiskie and placed wide receiver Nate Burleson on injured reserve and finally, the NFL will use pink penalty flags for the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets game in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month after commissioner Roger Goodell received a letter from an 11 year suggesting the change.

The NBA Pre-Season had seven games last night as the New York Knicks needed overtime to notch the 2 point win over their newly cross town rival the Brooklyn Nets 97-95 as Chris Copeland registered 16 points, my hometown Orlando Magic were clawed up by the Memphis Grizzlies 115-100 with Rudy Gay scoring 20 points, the Houston Rockets knocked off the New Orleans Hornets 97-90 as Carlos Delfino poured in 20 points, the Dallas Mavericks were crushed by the OKC Thunder 88-76 with 18 points from Kevin Durant, while the Detroit Pistons were outmuscled by the Minnesota Timberwolves 95-76 as Chase Budinger notched 21 points, the Washington Wizards got past the defending champs Miami Heat 101-94 with 23 points from Martell Webster and the LA Clippers defeated the LA Lakers 97-91 as Eric Bledsoe erupted for 22 points, 11 dimes, 5 boards and had 9 steals.

The 2012 TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships rolled on in Instabul as #1 seeded Victoria Azarenka had a rough time with 5th seeded Angelique Kerber but got the win in 3 sets 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 2nd seeded Maria Sharapova also needed 3 sets to get past 4th seeded Agnieszska Radwanska 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 and 3rd seeded Serena Williams was the only player who did not need 3 sets to cruise past 8th seeded Li Na 7-6, 6-3.
