            The world of sports was buzzing over the weekend especially in the National Football League as I kick off the 1st Segment with your Round One of your NFL scores as Peyton Manning overcame 2 early interceptions and rallied his Denver Broncos past the Cincinnati Bengals as Manning had 291 yards and not one, not two, but three TD’s, the Baltimore Ravens blasted the Cleveland Browns 25-15 with 98 rushing yards and a score from Ray Rice, the Green Bay Packers demolished the Arizona Cardinals 31-17 with count ‘em, uno, dos, tres, quarto TD’s from Aaron Rodgers, while the Chicago Bears literally spanked the Tennessee Titans 51-20 as Brandon Marshall had 122 receiving yards and not one, not two, but three TD’s, the Indianapolis Colts received an inspirational pep talk from their coach Chuck Lagano, who is battling Leukemia, and that provided the fuel to outlast the Miami Dolphins 23-20 as rookie quarterback Andrew Luck passed for 433 scorching yards, setting a new record for rookie QB’s and added 2 TD’s and the Carolina Panthers finally got their 2nd win of the season by powering past the Washington Redskins 21-13 as Cam Newton had 201 passing yards and a score by air and a score by ground.

          NASCAR Playoffs continued to burn up the tracks as they raced at Texas Motor Speedway and five time Jimmie Johnson showed why he is just that as he regained the lead on the final restart on the 334th lap and held off previous points leader Brad Keselowski by a 1/3 length of his car to capture the checkered flag and to extend his lead 7 points ahead of Keselowski, while Clint Bowyer is 3rd in the points standing, Kasey Kahn is 4th and Matt Kenseth and Jeff Gordon are tied for 5th.

            The National Basketball Association had five games to tipped off yesterday as the New York Knicks crushed the Philadelphia 76er’s with 11 3’s 100-84 as Carmelo Anthony lead his team with 27 points, the Toronto Raptors manhandled the Minnesota Timberwolves 105-86 as Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan nearly had identical stat lines as they both capped off a 22 point performance, my hometown Orlando Magic surprisingly befuddled the Phoenix Suns 115-94 as J. J. Reddick poured in 24 points, while the Atlanta Hawks outlasted the Oklahoma City Thunder 104-95 as Al Horford put in work with a double-double of 23 points and 12 boards and my LA Lakers finally won their 1st game of the season as they drilled, dropped, and destroyed, alliteration, I Love It, the Detroit Pistons 108-79 with 28 points from Dwight Howard and 8 assists from Kobe Bryant.

Continuing on with your NFL scores for Round Two as the Detroit Lions are now showing some life as they outmuscled the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-14 with not one, not two, but three TD’s from running back Mikel LeShour, the Houston Texans stomped, stifled, and stopped the Buffalo Bills bandwagon 21-9 with 111 yards from running back Arian Foster and a score, it was a barn burner as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders combined for a total of 74 points, but it was the Bucs notching the win 42-32 as Doug Martin was a beast with 251 franchise record breaking rushing yards and count ‘em uno, dos, tres, quarto TD’s, while the Seattle Seahawks climb over the .500 mark as they powered past the Minnesota Vikings 30-0 as rookie quarterback Russell Wilson had not one, not two and , but three TD’s, the Pittsburgh Steelers escaped New York with a win over the Giants 24-20 Isaac Redmon had 147 ground pounding yards and a score and in the Sunday Night Featured game, the undefeated Atlanta Falcons were looking to stay that way as they won by a touchdown 19-16 against the Dallas Cowboys with 102 rushing yards from Michael Turner and a score.

Major League Soccer had matches last night the Houston Dynamo SHUT OUT the Sporting Kansas City 2-0 and the LA Galaxy was SHUT OUT 1-0 by the San Jose Earthquakes.

Week 10 is in the books and the BCS Rankings for college football had a little shuffling to take place as Alabama went into LSU and their dreams didn’t die as they remain in the King’s Chair at #1, Kansas State maintains their #2 position, Oregon’s major win over USC allowed them to leap-frog over Norte Dame to take over the 3rd spot, while Norte Dame drop one spot 4th despite their win, Georgia and Florida moved up one spot to 5th and 6th respectfully, while LSU dropped two spots to 7th after their loss to Alabama, South Carolina was idle and therefore stayed steady, Louisville moved up one slot to 9th and Florida State dropped one spot in the rankings to 10th.

For Olympic Sporting news, despite the cancellation of world largest marathon, thousands of runners poured into New York City's Central Park on Sunday morning to do what they had prepared so long to do, run 26.2 miles and to help where they could, Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones, was one of three women's push athletes selected to compete for the U.S. in this weekend's World Cup opener at Lake Placid, NY, sportswear company Skins is suing cycling's governing body for $2 million, claiming its brand has been damaged by backing the sport as the Lance Armstrong doping scandal unraveled, and finally, Lindsey Vonn's request to compete in a men's World Cup downhill race has been rejected by the International Ski Federation.
