NBA w/ Kobe's 30,000th Point & Women's College Basketball Scores & NFL Quick Hits: 12/6, Vol. 283, 2nd Edt'n

And when the song is over and we've all said Amen…..in your heart just keep on singing and the song will never end. And if somebody asks you, was it just a show; lift your hands and be a witness and tell the whole world no!  Welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio, I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.!

Kobe became the youngest player
to join the NBA's 30,000 point club
I teased you earlier in the 1st Segment with a historic moment in last night’s NBA games as I run down Round II scores in The Association as the Chicago Bulls easily handled the Cleveland Cavaliers 95-85 as Marco Belinelli netted a season high of 23 points, the San Antonio Spurs outpaced the Milwaukee Bucks 110-99 as Tony Parker put up 22 points and pass out 10 assists, my home city Orlando Magic suffered their loss on their western road trip swing 87-81 against the Utah Jazz with Al Jefferson playing like a big man should with 31 basket filling points and 15 glass grabbing rebounds, while the Toronto Raptors couldn’t hang with the Sacramento Kings and lost 107-100 behind DeMarcus Cousins big game double-double of 25 points and 13 boards, the high flying and acrobatic Lob City Clippers put on a show last night as they lambasted the Dallas Mavericks 112-90 as Jamal ‘Hot Plate’ Crawford netted 20 points off the bench, Blake Griffin pulled down 13 rebounds and Chris Paul handed out 13 dimes and finally, for the historic moment of the night, Kobe ‘Black Mamba’ Bryant scored his 30,000th career point and the youngest player to do so as he completed the historic moment in the 2nd quarter against the New Orleans Hornets, the team that originally drafted him as his LA Lakers annihilated the Hornets 103-87 as Kobe finished the night with 29 points and Antwan Jamison, starting in place of Pau Gasol, who was out due to tendinitis in his knees, scored 15 points.

Brittney Griner rises above
Norte Dame to score 24 points
The Ladies of the Collegiate Basketball World only had three ranked games in action last night as the 3rd ranked defending champ Lady Bears of Baylor had no problems against 5th ranked Norte Dame 73-61 as Brittney Griner was a dominating force as she scored 24 points and pulled down 14 boards, #21 North Carolina mollywopped Radford 64-44 as Waltiea Rolle poured in 24 points and Krista Gross had a career night with 17 big time rebounds and 25th ranked Nebraska was UPSET by unranked Creighton 66-57 as Marissa Jannings had  19 points off the bench that included four 3 pointers.

RG3's jersey & cleats are headed to
                the NFL Hall of Fame
For your NFL Quick Hits, the Minnesota Vikings placed ailing wide receiver Percy Harvin on injured reserve Wednesday, abruptly ending a season that began so well for one of the NFL's most versatile players, Robert Griffin III  had a visit yesterday from an official who collected the rookie quarterback's jersey and cleats for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and finally, Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner will begin his four-game suspension this week for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs and he chose not to appeal the suspension reportedly for Adderall.

And last but not least, I would wish my Fabulous Father-in-law a very Happy Birthday…..enjoy your day.

J. R. Smith gets the game winning
buzzer beating shot over the Bobcats
The National Basketball Association had it going on last night with 11 games that gave us excitement and a historic moment as the New York Knicks J. R. Smith used a buzzer beating shot to lift the Knicks over the Charlotte Bobcats 100-98 as Carmelo Anthony finished with 23 points but was on the sideline getting stitches on his middle left finger, the Portland Trailblazers was held back from a win by the Indiana Pacers 99-92 as Paul George poured in 22 points, Rajon Rondo returned to the Boston Celtics lineup after serving his suspension and basically picked where he left off as he finished with 11 assists and 17 points while Kevin Garnett has nice gigantic double-double with 18 points and 11 boards as they cruised past the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-94, the Golden State Warriors got past the Detroit Pistons 104-97 as Klay Thompson had a game high of 28 points and the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Denver Nuggets 108-104 with Al Horford’s 25 points.

Florida chomped all
               over Florida State
Men’s College Basketball only had five games that tipped off as 6th ranked Florida simply tomahawked their in-state rival Florida State 72-47 with Mike Rosario and Kenny Boynton each netting 14 points, 10th ranked Gonzaga barely got past unranked Washington State 71-69 as Kevin Pangos saved the night with a game winning layup with 2 seconds left, 18th ranked New Mexico had a slow start against USC and had to rally past the Trojans to get the 75-67 win with 17 points from Hugh Greenwood, 19th ranked Michigan State simply demolished, dominated and destroyed, alliteration, I Love It, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 76-44 as the Spartans hold the Golden Lions to 27% shooting and 23rd ranked Oklahoma State powered past South Florida 61-49 as Philip Jurick pulls down 14 rebounds.

Cavs rookies armed with
                 baby dolls & pink strollers
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, NBA commissioner David Stern said Wednesday his $250,000 fine of the San Antonio Spurs was justified because the club went beyond what league owners agreed was a reasonable approach to resting healthy players, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki resumed basketball activity Wednesday but remains weeks away from making his season debut after having knee surgery, Brooklyn Nets small forward Gerald Wallace became the second player in the NBA and second Net to be fined under the league's new anti-flopping rules and was fined $5,000 for picking up his second flopping violation of the season, and finally, Byron Scott has put a new spin on rookie hazing as the Cleveland Cavaliers' coach presented each one of his rookies, Dion Waiters, Tyler Zeller and Kevin Jones, with baby dolls and pink strollers before Wednesday night's 95-85 loss to the Chicago Bulls….that’s just wrong Byron, that’s just wrong.
