Kobe rising up on Christmas as helped
the Lakes unwrap the perfect gift....
a win
I hoped that everyone had a Very Merry Christmas as we paused to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!  The National Basketball Association was featured as usual on Christmas Day as The Association featured five Christmas Day games in their Christmas Day uniforms and players, coaches and referees wore green ribbons in tribute to the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School as the first game pitted the Boston Celtics against the Brooklyn Nets and this game was a physical one as four technical fouls were called in the 4th quarter alone, but the Celtics Showed Up and they Showed Out as they literally spanked the Nets 93-76 as Rajon Rondo lead all scorers with 19 points and Paul Pierce passed out 10 dimes, the 2nd game featured my LA Lakers against the current Big Apple Kings in the New York Knicks with Steve Nash running point and handed out 11 assists as Christmas gifts and Kobe Bryant did his part by lighting up the score board with 34 points as the Lakers knock off the Knicks 100-94 and the Lakers win their 5th consecutive game, the 3rd game witnessed a re-match of the 2012 Finals as the OKC Thunder took their talents to South Beach to battle the defending champs in the Miami Heat and the Heat got off to a fast start and relinquished the lead in the 3rd quarter however comma they managed to hold for the 103-97 win as LeBron James produced 29 points, while in the 4th game, the Houston Rockets traveled to the Windy City and simply demolished, simply dismantled and simply disenfranchised, Alliteration, I Love It, the Chicago Bulls 120-97 as James Harden poured in 26 points, Omer Asik had 18 glass grabbling rebounds and Jeremy Lin gave away 11 Christmas gifts wrapped up as assists and the final game of the NBA Christmas Day Extravaganza featured the Denver Nuggets mining for gold against the Lob City Clippers as the Clippers were the ones to actually strike gold as they blasted the Nuggets 112-100 with 22 points from Jamal Crawford.

SMU are Hawaii Bowl Champs!
The College Bowl Season is in full swing as one bowl game played out last night on the Grid Iron as the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl featured Southern Methodist University Mustangs taking on Fresno State Bulldogs as the defense for both teams prevented one another from scoring in the 1st quarter, but in the 2nd quarter, the Mustangs came out of the gate running and gunning with a TD, field goal, safety, TD and a field goal as they took a commanding 22 – ZIP lead into half-time.  In the 2nd half, Fresno State struck first with a TD, but it just too many Mustangs galloping around as SMU went on to literally smoke, literally smother and literally spank, Alliteration, I Love It, Fresno State 43-10 as the Mustang defense had not one, but two pick 6’s.

Stacy McGee may not play in the
Cotton Bowl due to his arrest
For your Quick News & Notes, a Texas Tech official says three Red Raiders starting defensive back Cornelius Douglas, linebacker Chris Payne and backup defensive tackle Leon Mackey won't be playing against Minnesota in Friday's Meineke Car Care Bowl because they violated team rules and senior Oklahoma defensive tackle Stacy McGee was arrested about 1:15 a.m. Monday on a complaint of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license and may not play in the AT&T Cotton bowl.

Steve Nash was back on the court
but says Lakers need to play desperate
For your NBA Quick Dribbles, the Sacramento Kings have reinstated center DeMarcus Cousins after a one-game suspension for "unprofessional behavior and conduct detrimental to the team", Brooklyn Nets power forward Kris Humphries may have to undergo an MRI after experiencing issues with his abdominal muscles, coach Avery Johnson said Monday and after practice on Monday on the eve of the Lakers' Christmas Day showdown with the New York Knicks Steve Nash stated "We've won four in a row and we can keep this going and put ourselves back in contention, but we should be a desperate team right now."

Michael Vick most likely will
start this Sunday
For your NFL Quick Hits, Philadelphia Eagles rookie quarterback Nick Foles has a broken right hand, and coach Andy Reid said Michael Vick will likely start against the New York Giants in Sunday's season finale, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mario Manningham tore both the ACL and PCL in his left knee in Sunday’s drubbing by the Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Sunday and will not play in the regular-season finale against the Cleveland Browns, Mike Tannenbaum's days as the New York Jets' general manager could be numbered as the Jets have quietly begun to reach out to potential candidates, including Houston Texans director of college scouting Mike Maccagnan, Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer suffered cracked ribs and a bruised lung after a hard hit by Carolina Panthers linebacker Greg Hardy and will not play in the team's final game, and finally, New York Jets coach Rex Ryan refused to say Monday whether disgruntled backup quarterback Tim Tebow asked out of the Wildcat package, but Ryan admitted Tebow was upset when he informed him that Greg McElroy would replace Mark Sanchez as the starter…duh.
