ranked Michigan joined Duke over the weekend in losing their first game of the
season as they were UPSET by 15th ranked Ohio State 56-53
with DeShaun Thomas pouring in 20 points, 22nd ranked Michigan State
cruised past Nebraska 66-56 with 17 points from Derrick Nix and unranked
Evansville got the UPSET win over #23 Wichita State 71-67 as Colt
Ryan led all scorers with 24 points.
Brittney Griner was unstoppable with 33 points
The
ladies in Women’s College Basketball had a plethora of ranked teams in action
as I run down the top eight ranked games as top ranked Baylor hammered
17th ranked Kansas 82-60 as Brittney Griner erupted for 33 points, 2nd
ranked Norte Dame blasted, blew out and bushwhacked, Alliteration, I Love It,
Rutgers 71-46 with 15 points from Sklar Diggins, 4th ranked Duke annihilated
Wake Forest 73-44 with 18 points from Elizabeth Williams, 5th ranked
Stanford were stopped in their tracks as their 81 game conference win streak
came to an end at the hands of 7th ranked Cal with 19 points from
Brittany Boyd, while 6th ranked Kentucky demolished Missouri 69-43 as
DeNesha Stallworth notched 17 points, 8th ranked Penn State toppled
Nebraska 80-58 with 19 points and 5 steals from Alex Bentley and 9th
ranked Tennessee barely got past Florida 78-75 in overtime as Meighan Simmons
was on firewith 27 points.

pick in exchange for forward Kevin Westgarth, and finally, the New York Rangers
announced Sunday they have re-signed restricted free-agent defenseman Michael
Del Zotto in a two-year deal worth $2.55 million per season.
