LeBron James crushed the Lakers
            with his 39 points
The National Basketball League had some UK Flavor as the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons faced off in London and Carmelo Anthony poured in 26 points as the Knicks simply befuddled the Pistons 102-87, the LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves was the first featured game on TNT as the Clippers sailed past the Wolves 90-77 with 22 points from Jamal ‘Hot Plate’ Crawford, the Milwaukee Bucks outlast the Phoenix Suns 98-94 with 24 points from Monta Ellis and the 2nd featured game had the Miami Heat getting past my LA Lakers 99-90 as LeBron James was en fuego with 39 points.

Iesia Walker passed
             1,000 points against LSU
The ladies in Women’s College Basketball was jammed packed with games as they had eleven ranked games as I kick off Round Scores for the Ladies as 19th ranked South Carolina escaped with a 66-59 win over LSU as Iesia Walker surpassed 1,000 points in her career after netting 24 points, 8th ranked Penn State overwhelmed Wisconsin 84-40 with a big time double-double from Nikki Greene of 23 points and 14 boards, #22 Florida State defeated Boston College 67-57 with 14 points from Chasity Clayton, 5th ranked Kentucky literally spanked Mississippi State 100-47 as DeNesha Stallworth’s 25 points helped the Wildcats to the schools best start, while 11th ranked North Carolina outplayed Virginia 70-60 with 15 points from Xylina McDaniel and 12th Purdue knocked off Minnesota 75-67 with a sweet double-double from Sam Ostarello of 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Kobe Bryant 1st player
                to reach 15 consecutive
               All Star start
Before I get to your NBA Quick Dribbles, as expected in an interview aired last night with Oprah, Lance Armstrong admitted to doping throughout his cycling career and said that he was sorry. Now on to NBA news, Kobe Bryant has been voted to his NBA-record 15th consecutive All-Star start, leading four Los Angeles players into next month's game and led all votes with 1,591,437, NBA commissioner David Stern says any team tempted to "eavesdrop" on opponents will face sanctions from the league, but the actions of New York Knicks owner James Dolan in ordering extra microphones to be installed within Madison Square Garden in the wake of Carmelo Anthony's recent suspension did not break any rules, he confirmed, and finally, an eight-month review by the firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP found no evidence of illegal use of union funds, but revealed that union chief Billy Hunter withheld knowledge that his contract was never properly approved, used poor judgment with his hiring practices and spent improperly on travel and gifts.

Jonathan Vilma's defamation case
              against Roger Goodel dismissed
For your NFL Quick Hits, the Arizona Cardinals have hired interim Indianapolis coach Bruce Arians as their new head coach, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf has been moved from a drug treatment center to the Montana State Prison for threatening a staff member and violating his treatment plan, a corrections official said Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars hired Seattle defensive coordinator Gus Bradley as head coach Thursday, the latest move in the team's rebuilding project, a federal judge has dismissed Jonathan Vilma's defamation suit against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Thursday, and finally, judges decided Thursday that the custody fight over the infant daughter of former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher, who fatally shot his girlfriend before killing himself, will be handled in Missouri, not Texas and more than $1 million is at stake because of insurance and inheritance.
