NBA Scores, 2013 Aussie Open, NFL News Feat. Da' Squirrel & NBA News Feat. The San Antonio Spurs Being Sued: 1/16 - Vol. 309 - 1st Edition

You could have left me standing there, with no one, no one to care. But You promised me You'd be there on time and You did just what You said and that’s when You blessed me!  Good morning and welcome back to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema on Gospel Radio better than when you heard it the last time you heard it!  I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y.! ….It’s Game Time!

The Lakers had a collective effort
in the rout over the Bucks
The National Basketball Association had six ballin’and poppin’ games last night as overtime was needed to decipher the outcome of the Portland Trailblazers and the Denver Nuggets as the Nuggets surged past the Trailblazers 115-111 as Danilo Gallinari poured in 25 points and Ty Lawson was in the giving mood with 12 assists, the Houston Rockets were grounded 117-109 by the LA Clippers as Jamal ‘Hot Plate’ Crawford was en fuego with 30 points, the Brooklyn Nets was led by Brook Lopez’s 22 points in the 113-106 win over  the Toronto Raptors, while the Charlotte Bobcats was literally spanked by the Indiana Pacers 103-76 with 18 points from Roy Hibbert, Grevis Vasquez netted 22 points for the New Orleans Hornets as the cruise past the Philadelphia 76ers 111-99 and my LA Lakers clobbered the Milwaukee Bucks 104-88 for their 2nd straight win as Kobe and Dwight Howard each had 31 net burning points and Howard 16 glass grabbing rebounds and ole faithful Steve Nash handed out 11 dimes.

Agnieska Radwanska easily
                won her match at the
              2013 Aussie Open
The 2013 Aussie Open pressed on with the First and Second Rounds as the notable winners for the men included Nikolay Davydenko, Gilles Simon, Jo-Winfried Tsonga and Juan Martin Del Porto and the notable winners for the women were Roberta Vinci, Lucie Safarova, Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Angelique Kerber, and Agnieska Radwanska.

For your NFL Quick Hits, after talking it over with his wife, Mike McCoy accepted the head coaching position for the San Diego Chargers, Thomas Jones, a retired running back who played for five teams in 12 NFL seasons, has decided to donate his brain to the Sports Legacy Institute to be studied for evidence of chronic traumatic encephalopathy otherwise known as CTE, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says injuries to "multiple lower extremities" will keep him out of the Pro Bowl later this month, an electric utility, Akron-based FirstEnergy Corporation, bought the naming rights to the Cleveland Browns Stadium, which will be known as FirstEnergy Stadium and finally, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock lost a bet with Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake that requires him to perform linebacker Ray Lewis' signature pre-game dance after the Denver Broncos lost to the Ravens and while he was practicing the dance, he pulled a muscle.  He should have known that can’t nobody and I mean No Body can do the squirrel like Ray-Ray….huh?!

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, in the wake of an incident between Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett that resulted in Anthony's suspension, the Knicks recorded all in-game conversations between the forward and players around him Friday against the Chicago Bulls, a league source has confirmed, Kevin Love is expected to return sometime in March after undergoing surgery on his broken right hand, and finally, the San Antonio Spurs are being sued by Larry McGuinness, a lawyer who is alleging the team violated Florida’s deceptive and fair trade practices law stating Spurs coach Gregg Popovich "intentionally and surreptitiously" sent their best players home without the knowledge of the league; the team and the fans attending the November 29 game against the Miami Heat and McGuinness contends that he, as well as other fans, "suffered economic damages" as a result of paying a premium price for a ticket that shouldn't cost more.
