Women’s College Basketball had a plethora of ranked games on the docket last night as I run down the top five ranked teams as 5th ranked Duke dropped kicked Virginia Tech 77-33 with 25 points from Haley Peters, 7th ranked Maryland dominated, destroyed and demolished, Alliteration, I Love It, rebounds and it was her 12th double-double of the season, 8th ranked Penn State mowed down Iowa 81-69 with 21 points from Maggie Lucas, 9th ranked Kentucky barely escapes 19th ranked South Carolina 78-74 as Jennifer O’Neil netted 19 points and 11th ranked Texas A&M pulls out the win against Florida 78-71 as Kelsey Boone showed the Gators no mercy with her 30 points and 10 boards.

The National Hockey League skated around last night with six games as the New York Islanders needed a shootout to get past the New York Rangers 4-3, Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1, the Washington Capitals knocked off the Tampa Bay Lighting 4-3, while the Montreal Canadiens needed OT to SHUT OUT the Florida Panthers 1-0, the Phoenix Coyotes were SHUT OUT by the Nashville Predators 3-0 and the Colorado Avalanche got past the Minnesota Wild 4-3 in a shoot-out.
