Jeremy Underwood stops on a dime

to go on to score 19 points
off the bench
March Madness officially kicked off last night with the 1st Round, errrrr, Play In Games as 16th seeded North Carolina A&T got the measly one point win over 16th seeded Liberty 73-72 as Jeremy Underwood played over the wood as he notched 19 points off the bench and 11th seeded Saint Mary’s ran past 11th Middle Tennessee 67-54 as Matthew Dellavedova laced ‘em them up for 22 points and for couple scores in the NIT, #1 Kentucky was shocked by 8th seeded Robert Morris 59-57 as Lucky Jones was feeling fortunate with 15 points and #1 seeded Alabama clobbered 8th seeded Northeastern 62-43 as the Crimson Tide held the Huskies to 33% shooting.

JaVale McGee stuffed

Kevin Durant as the Nuggets
romped the Thunder
The  National Basketball Association had only four games on tap last night as the Milwaukee Bucks garnished 24 points from Brandon Jennings as they cruised past the Portland Trailblazers 102-95, the Denver Nuggets extended their win streak to 13 as they dominated the OKC Thunder with 25 points from Ty Lawson 114-104, my home-city Orlando Magic was crushed, contused and crumbled, Alliteration, I Love It, by the Indiana Pacers 95-73 as Paul George led all scorers with 19 points and the Lob City Clippers were bounced by the Sacramento Kings 116-101 with 25 points from Marcus Thornton.

For your NBA Quick Dribbles, the New York Knicks announced Tuesday that center Tyson Chandler is expected to miss a week with a small bulging disk in his cervical spine, which is his neck area, Cleveland Cavs rookie guard Dion Waiters will miss at least one week with a sore left knee and may need surgery, and finally, Andrew Bynum of the Philadelphia 76ers, who has not played a single game this season, is done for the year and he's set for season-ending arthroscopic surgery on both knees Tuesday.

For your NFL Quick Hits, after a contract snafu involving a fax machine that caused Elvis Dumerville to be cut from the Denver Broncos roster, John Elway has announced the team has offered the pass rusher a contract and the agent, Marty Magid, who was fired by Dumerville, has retained David Cornwell as his attorney, concerned with how it will be officiated, NFL owners delayed voting Tuesday on a rule change that would ban offensive players from using the crown of their helmets against defenders in the open field, but the owners outlawed peel-back blocks anywhere on the field and banned overloading a formation while attempting to block a field goal or extra point, and finally, a federal magistrate has found that Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt is not guilty of driving under the influence after trying to pass through a security gate at Fort Campbell Army post on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line.
