            What a way to celebrate your birthday as Matt Kenseth turned 41 on yesterday and also turned in his first victory in the 2013 NASCAR season as he captured the checkered flag at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as he decided not to replace any tires and just fuel up during the final pit stop under caution.  With the win, he is now in the 7th spot in points and Kasey Kahne placed 2nd, Brad Keselowski came in 3rd, while Kyle Busch finished 4th and Card Edwards round out the top five finishers.

            The Ladies of the B-Ball hard-court had nine ranked games in action on Sunday as top ranked Baylor downed Oklahoma State as Brittney Griner put on a show with 30 points and 10 boards, 2nd ranked Norte Dame received a BIG TIME double-double of 20 points and 20 glass grabbing rebounds from Natalie Achonwa as they pushed passed South Florida 75-66, 3rd ranked UConn smothered, smoked and stymied, Alliteration, I Love It, DePaul 94-61 with 21 points from Breanna Stewart, 4th ranked Stanford got past 14th ranked UCLA 51-49 as they captured the PAC 12 Title, 6th ranked Duke used 24 career high points from Alexis Jones and was voted tournament MVP as they clobbered 15th ranked North Carolina 92-73 to win the ACC Title, while 7th ranked Kentucky was UPSET by 19th ranked Texas A&M 75-67 as Kelsy Bones 18 points and 15 boards helped the Aggies win the SEC Title, 11th ranked unranked Dayton was UPSET by Saint Joseph’s 61-54 with 19 points and 10 rebounds from Chatilla van Grinsven, 13th ranked Louisville defeated St. John’s 62-55 with nice double-double from Sara Hammond of 22 points and 11 rebounds and 24th ranked Syracuse knocked off Villanova 61-56 as Kayla Alexander played outside of her mind with 34 points and 15 rebounds and in the Sunbelt Conference Semifinal, Middle Tennessee knocked off FIU with help of Ebony Rowe’s 21 points and 10 rebounds.

            The National Hockey League skated on yesterday with ten games as the New York Rangers blast the Washington Capitals 4-1, the Columbus Blue Jackets got the shoot-out win 3-2  over the Detroit Red Wings, the Montreal Canadiens dusted the Florida Panthers 5-2, a shoot-out was needed to get the New Jersey Devils passed the Winnipeg Jets, the New York Islanders were frozen in time on the ice 6-1 by the Pittsburgh Penguins, while the Chicago Blackhawks lose their 2nd game in a row against the Edmonton Oilers 6-5, the Buffalo Sabres were defeated by the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2, the Vancouver Canucks fell to the Minnesota Wild 4-2, overtime was needed as the San Jose Sharks loss to the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 and the St. Louis Blues were outskated by the Anaheim Ducks 4-2.
