controlled and contained, Alliteration, I Love It, 20th ranked
Nebraska 82-67 as Maggie Lucas played outside of her mind with 34 points, 8th
ranked Tennessee was lambasted by 10th ranked Kentucky
with 16 points from A’dia Mathies, 9th ranked Maryland simply befuddledWake Forest 88-61 with a big time double-double from
Tianna Hawkins of 18 points and 11 boards, while 11th ranked Georgia
avoided the upset by getting past Vanderbilt 55-50 as Jasmine Hassell scored 16
points, 12th ranked Drayton knocked off Saint Joseph’s 73-66 as they
clinched their first A-100 regular season conference title and 13th ranked
Texas A&M was UPSET by unranked LSU 67-52 as Theresa Plaisance
scored 16 points.
The Chicago Blackhawks celebrates
yet ANOTHER win over the
Calgary Flames
The
National Hockey League was skating all over the icewith nine games as the Chicago Blackhawks needed
a shoot-out to get the win over the Detroit
Red Wings 2-1 to extend their points streak, the New York Islanders also needed
a shoot-out to get past the Ottawa Senators 3-2, overtime was needed as the
Columbus Blue Jackets defeat the Colorado Avalanche 2-1, the St. Louis Blues
were ice
blasted 4-1 by the Dallas Stars, the Carolina Hurricanes beat the
Florida Panthers 3-2, while the Montreal Canadiens surged past the Boston
Bruins 4-3, the New York Rangers outlasted the Buffalo Sabres in a shoot-out
3-2, the Edmonton Oilers lost to the Minnesota Wild 4-2 and the Calgary Flames
skated past the Vancouver Canucks 4-2.
Michael Thompson
captures his 1st PGA
Tour win at
The Honda Classic
The
PGA concluded The Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, FL with a $5.8 million
purse with Michael Thompson surviving tough conditions to capture his first
tour win with a 9 under and earning slightly more than a million dollars as
Geoff Ogilvy placed 2nd with a 7 under par and Luke Guthrie finished
with a 5 under par for 3rd place.
