For your 2nd Segment Quick News & Notes, five of the seven injured fans taken to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, Fla., following Saturday's horrific Nationwide Series crash have been released from the hospital and the two that remain, are in stable condition, after being declared ineligible by the NCAA after the organization determined that, at age 24, he had used up his four years of eligibility, the NCAA has granted St. John's Orlando Sanchez a waiver and the junior will be allowed to play for the Red Storm next season, and finally, the Big East's seven departing Catholic schools are expected to start their own league next season and will keep the Big East Conference name, and along with DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, and Villanova, Xavier and Butler are expected to join.

Last, but not least, I send out a phenomenal birthday shout out to my tallest female cousin, Nikki Butler!  And as one family member celebrates life on Earth, we give thanks to God for allowing us to have my Uncle Clenon in our lives as he has made the transition and my God rest his soul in peace.
