            The National Hockey League was jammed packed with eleven games as the Toronto Maple Leafs loss to the Boston Bruins 4-2, the Buffalo Sabres lost in a shoot-out 3-2 against the New Jersey Devils, the New York Rangers won in overtime against the New York Islanders 2-1, the Pittsburgh Penguins pounded the Philadelphia Flyers 5-4, the Florida Panthers were trounced, thrashed and toppled, Alliteration, I Love It, 7-1 by the Washington Capitals, the Montreal Canadiens outskated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2, while the Vancouver Canucks lost in overtime 2-1 to the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Tampa Bay Lighting 2-1, the Edmonton Oilers were SHUT OUT by the Detroit Red Wings 3-0, the St. Louis Blues demolished the Phoenix Coyotes 6-3 and the Dallas Stars crowned the defending champion LA Kings 5-2.
