Astros vs Rangers game 
            Major League Baseball kicked off Opening Night with the ball club with the lowest payroll in the majors as the Houston Astros played their first game in the American League against their in-state rival in the Texas Rangers and what do you know, the Astros came out swinging as they simply bulldozed the Rangers 8-2 as Rick Ankiel launched the 1st homer of the 2013 season.

The Blackhawks slam the

     The National Hockey League skated on the frozen hard-court last night with five games as the Chicago Blackhawks tomahawked, tamed and toppled, Alliteration, I Love It, the Detroit Red Wings 7-1, the Anaheim Ducks lost in overtime 2-1 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the defending champions LA Kings knocked off the Dallas Stars 3-2, while the Philadelphia Flyers notched the overtime win 5-4 over the Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins SHUT OUT the Buffalo Sabres 2-0.

Shell Houston Open
            The Shell Houston Open wrapped up Sunday at the Redstone GC Tournament Course in Humble, TX with a purse of $6.2 million dollars and D. A. Points had the lowest amount of points to capture the win with a 16 under par, Henrik Stenson and Billy Horschel finished tied for 2nd with a15 under par and Dustin Johnson and Ben Crane each finished tied for 4th with a 14 under par.
