NCAAW Championship Game & NBA Scores - Quick News & Notes Feat. NBA Draft Declarations, Jay Z & NFL Top Jersey Sales w/ RG3: 4/10 - 1st Edition - Vol. 343

If I were a drummer, I would use my cymbal; if I were a writer, I would use a pencil. I would use my voice, if I were a singer…no matter who or what we are, we must praise!  Good morning and welcome to your Spiritual Sports Segment on Rhema Gospel Radio…better than when you heard it, the last time you heard it!  I’m C.E.E.J.A.Y…..It’s Game Time!

UConn easily won their 8th
title by stomping Louisville
After stomping Norte Dame in the semi-final game, top seed UConn turned their attention to the scrappy 5
th seed Louisville who were trying to join their basketball brothers in the net cutting ceremony but UConn said uh, uh, uh, not so fast my friend as the Lady Huskies used a 19-0 first half run to gain control of the game and never relinquished it and went on to literally spank the Lady Cardinals 93-60 as freshman Breanna Stewart led all scorers with 23 points and earned Most Outstanding Player and while Geno Auriemma won his 8th Women’s Basketball Title.

Along with his 30 points,
Kobe's defense was on point
 as well
The National Basketball Association had 10 games on hard-court as some teams are still playing for something as the Indiana Pacers had to come from behind to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-94 with 27 points from George Hill, the Brooklyn Nets walloped the Philadelphia 76ers 104-83 to take hold of the 4th seed, the New York Knicks used Carmelo Anthony’s scorching hot 36 points to trounce the Washington Wizards 120-99 as the Knicks clinch their first division title since 1994, the Miami Heat ran past the Milwaukee Bucks 94-83 to close in on home-court advantage, the Toronto Raptors knocked off the Chicago Bulls 101-98 with 20 points from DeMar DeRozan, while the Memphis Grizzlies won their 13th straight home game by demolishing the Charlotte Bobcats 94-75, Jermaine O’neal of the Phoenix Suns was cited for goaltending on James Harden’s last second 3 pointer which eventually propelled the Houston Rockets to the 101-98 win, the OKC Thunder powered past the Utah Jazz 90-80 with 25 points from Russell Westbrook, the Golden State Warriors crushed the Minnesota Timberwolves 105-89 as they clinched their 2nd playoff berth in 19 seasons and my LA Lakers used 23 of Kobe Bryant’s 30 points in 4th quarter to muster past the pesky New Orleans Hornets 104-96 as they moved back into the 8th spot in the Western Conference Playoff standings.

Tops in jersey sales....
'nuff said
For your 1st Segment Quick News & Notes, junior guard Russ Smith will leave Louisville early to enter the NBA draft, according to his father, Indiana's Victor Oladipo made it official Tuesday and is headed to the NBA via the upcoming draft, Kansas’ talented guard  Ben McLemore will forgo his sophomore season and enter the NBA draft, Brooklyn Nets minority owner Jay-Z has begun the process of selling his stake in the team, which is .067% at a value of $350,000, so that he can become an NBA agent, according to a Yahoo! Report, and finally, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III not only ended the year with the best-selling jersey in the league, more of his No. 10 jerseys were sold in the NFL this fiscal year than any jersey in league history, while Payton Manning, Ray Lewis, Colin Kaepernick and Tom Brady round out the top five.

Last but not least, I like to give an outstanding Birthday Shout Out to my good friend Michael Simpson and may continue to flow fruitful Blessings your way.
